How to keep bored at bay while working all night as a security guard in an underground facility

It's tough times. This new world of gig economy, I'm finding it difficult to navigate the same way as I did before. I used to succeed before the epidemic. However, my primary task as a dental assistant was not so difficult. This is the reason I took on a night-time security officer position at an area machine plant. It is mostly automated. Workers are on hand all day long and I am only part of the night crew. I have emergency number to call if something goes wrong and some of the machinery is stopped without a clear resume time in sight. Then, I call engineers or the outside line to get additional engineers. I do nothing. They aren't even producing anything in this area, so night guard is just a glorified switchboard attendant.

It's quiet, and I actually like it. It's peaceful, I have difficulty sleeping through the night because of excessive gas release however here it's not an issue. I find it boring to stay up all night and try new things to make it pass faster. For instance, I've been practicing this dance I watched on Tik Tok for the last 2 weeks. It's not difficult however I find it difficult to do it again. The dance was developed by one of the most famous Tik Tok sisters. I'm old and I don't know how I can describe the dance.

I've been experimenting with new videos to fix my car in recent months. While I don’t know how to apply these methods to my vehicle immediately I do like watching others fixing their cars. DIY videos are usually informative and easy to follow. However, I encountered a different issue. Internet wouldn't work on my phone eventually. I couldn't connect to any video or other useful activities because, as we know, the internet is necessary to everything. I was able to download Youtube videos and then save them on my phone. I was able to view diy videos when the internet was down. It doesn't matter what you do, it doesn’t matter whether you stream the video on the internet, or some other place online or download it at home. It's possible to watch it right off your phone when there’s no internet access or wifi. It's as easy as DVR to your online video.

To my complete delight, I was able to download new episodes and movies onto my laptop. I've started taking my laptop to work, due to its larger screen and superior speakers, making it more enjoyable to watch TV there. I signed up with HULU and Netflix. Both allow you to download their apps and mark the video for download. Then, in the space of a few hours, depending on how long the program is, and what quality settings that you selected, the video will be downloaded to your device, and you'll be able to stream it at any time, with or without internet. It only takes 15 minutes to stream TV, but it lets you catch up on any episodes that you missed last night.

There are a lot of informative or just fascinating resources I can find at home, and then take to work. It helps make my life much easier. I am a huge fan of YouTube's workshops on various self-improvement methods However, it's difficult to watch a 1 hour video that's interrupted multiple times, and still keep up with what they're trying to convey. You'll be able to understand what I'm talking about. https://keepvid.app You'll see what I mean.

Sometimes, I bring my son to work along with me. This is because my wife does her night shift, making it difficult for us both to be home with our child. Therefore, I bring him along and put him on the computer screen and he goes to sleep in no time. However, when he awakes, I give him my laptop and a few of those freshly downloaded music videos, and he's watching those amazing young artists doing their bizarre things on the screen He is content, I am content to continue doing my things via the phone.. Making our own choices is the best way to work together. He seems to like coming along with me. Perhaps because he stays up all the night. Isn't that what kids sometimes want?
