You should bring tablets, laptops and, occasionally, smartphones with video content to go camping with the children.

It was something I have learned the hard and painful way. My mother has been on my back all week, telling me to make this list and keep in mind that. My excitement for the first camping trip with my grandkids, my children was the only thing I shared with her. She was all over my preparations, offering me advice and guidance in every circumstance. I'm not worried about the way my mother talks. Hearing her lecture make me nervous. I made a terrible mistake , and I realized the next day or two was my fault.

We left the vehicle and headed off to get to the campsite. In order to recreate the rural experience my father had earlier in his life, I chose an area that was remote and would turn out to be later on, was no longer in service. That means out smartphones weren't working, and we were pretty much completely alone and there was no other camping party in sight. I'm not complaining, I was expecting a great camping trip..

What was the situation? We didn't have any bars, or Internet access or even nothing. I had my laptop in my bag and it didn't get into the bag. I had a great background ready to show my projector that I took along to create big-screen effects films. There was no Internet access to Hulu, Netflix, or Disney+. youtube to mo4 They were just trying to get on top of their schoolwork to check their emails and text me. It was too for me, so I packed up to go. After we got out of the wifi-less zone, my kids made sounds like little pigs eating delicious food items... My children are my absolute joy. That was just embarrassing. They groaned and squealed when their phones began to beep, announcing new messages on their phones.


Since then, I've been more prepared and am trying to avoid an internet-less zone which doesn't permit roaming. When we took an extended boat ride towards the destination, I realized myself in need of my new best friends: two tablets and laptop. They were equipped with Hulu streaming video on one side, Netflix movies, and shows on the opposite. The laptop also has music videos as well as some movies that I have downloaded to view later on Hulu and Netflix apps from the Windows app store. I've got around 600 hours of material to watch, including full Will & Grace, Friends and South Park seasons and added episodes.

For my kids, I have a number of videos that are funny things, I downloaded a few music videos from Youtube and then converted them into MP3 and mp4 formats to listen or watch. This app on the web lets me download the videos directly onto my personal computer. I can then play videos offline at any time I need electricity. I DVR a lot of TV shows as well as seminars, films, and movies online. The videos are saved as MP4 to my computer. I can then open them later using VLC or KMP.
