You will win a greater number of pots if your position is better than if it is not. You will win more pots when you are the aggressor (the bettor or raiser) than you will by checking and calling. A change to your preflop strategy can be one of your most powerful improvements to your postflop play. To increase your postflop winning percentage, you should open with aggressive raises. If you play aggressively preflop and from position, there are many ways you can win the game.
