The Professional Gambler
I'd like to begin by explaining what this article is about, or more precisely, what it is not about. click here now isn't the flashy player that you see making a lot of noise and calling attention to his. He or she is not the one who is making extravagant bets for high-rollers. The true pro is one who is a serious, reserved, calm player. Professional gamblers understand that gambling is a business. Profitable business .

Professional gamblers do not "go out for a night (or or a day) of gambling." The professional would not assume that he or she would play all the night. In reality, the professional will typically know in the initial 30 minutes of play when it is time to stop playing or to end the day. Professional gamblers play with the sole intent to win, not for entertainment. It's work. This is work. You see, there is no way to determine how long it takes to either be successful enough (or lose enough), but the pro will be aware when one of these limits is attained and will have the ability to spot it and react accordingly.

You may have on occasion played with the professional. It's unlikely that you'll remember. The only thing that could really draw attention to professional players is when the winner is then stopped. He or she is not content to play and keep going because they are "out for the night" of betting. If professional gamblers wish to be entertained, they go see the latest show or film. Gambling isn't just an "activity", as most tourists see it. You go to Vegas or Atlantic City and you gamble all night. This is the way that recreational gamblers play. They find it very easy to rationalize...something like this; "Well I played all night and it only cost me $200. It's a fair price for entertainment as well as free drinks. This is known as the tourist mentality. You might hear stories of how someone went to Vegas and won millions. It's true. It is likely. But, you will likely be hearing the story that goes:
"I was up three or four hundred dollars, however, I lost everything back." You will never have a professional make an assertion like that. If one is gambling to make a profit, then they will recognize that 3 to 4 hundred is an extremely healthy profit that will be long gone.

Professional gamblers are known as guerrilla fighters. They're not on the lookout for a marathon gaming spree. The professional is there to make a profit. It's not long before they be a winner or loser, and certainly not every day. They might be able to get a winning streak going, but the pro will know the streak and keep riding up to the very end. But more times than not the game of a professional lasts only long enough to make the days profit or to be unable to make the maximum profit for the day. Casinos will never see the money that professionals win. The casino cannot afford losing the player.

The professional is too intelligent to believe that there exists any system that can consistently beat casinos, regardless of matter which game they are playing. The most successful strategies and betting methods will be used by professional gamblers in order to increase the odds of winning. There are a few decisions to be taken during the game. Most of the pro's decisions are made before they approach the game. They stick to their fundamental strategies and betting strategies or progress. Pros will never "chase their cash". Pros can and will accept occasional losses. It's a fact of life. I would like to compare a professional gambler with a salesperson that works strictly on commission. There will be times when you make little or no money, and even lose money if travel expenses are included. The professional gambler , however, learns to look at the cumulative total of play. It is not "how much did I win or lose today?" It is more like "How much am I ahead for this month or in the coming year?"

Professional poker players are an area I would like to mention. They're in a league in their own! Some poker players don't think of themselves as gamblers. These poker players believe that poker is an activity that requires skill, and they're extremely skilled. The information I've provided above doesn't apply to professional players. In the coming months I'll probably write an article on them. A very interesting breed, indeed!
