My personal story isn't one with much depth. I was born, attended school, got a job, and then finally got something online. It also contains some very difficult moments when I thought that all was done. One of those instances was when my laptop computer went completely silent. After a bit of fiddling, changing my old desktop into the new one, and more tinkering I was successful in restoring all the work on that drive. It took me three days of sweat and metaphorical tears... However, I did learn one thing: Dropbox and personal FTP servers can be used to backup my daily work by hand or automatically.
However, it's not the best option. The more information you store online, the more money it costs to keep everything up and running. It's very simple and secure. It's also very simple to download from any device connected to the internet. But what about times that WiFi or an internet connection isn't accessible? I'm happy to always carry my laptop around for those times. It's my only reliable backup source. I have two drives there with one for each HDD. This allows them to copy one another and makes sure that only one copy is left in case of failure. I only copy stuff there, usually, so I rarely make the laptop work. I'm hoping two drives will not go out on the same day..
A few months ago, another major day of grief was. I am careful not to lose work. Like I said earlier, I have multiple copies of it and can access it anywhere the internet is accessible. This was not about Periscope. It was something I used quite often a several years ago. Even in summer, when there were protests in the city, I was able stream a few live streams. Then Periscope TV is closing down and all videos will go away in the next few weeks. What do I do? I'm looking to download the entire video to save them on my laptop. Those are very dear to me. It's also the last time I've hung with a friend who disappeared off the radar in Covid It appears to have gotten him..
I browse his site that allows me to download videos directly from Youtube, Instagram, Facebook and other sources. I am interested in politics and underground movements. This is why I film a lot of live events, then save some for the future, and publish some on Youtube. Every time I finish live, I back up the video into my laptop. This is the way I do it. This allows me cross-posting videos on various platforms. Not only can I share Youtube videos on Facebook however, I can also upload the video directly onto Facebook. It's a separate video. In the past 8 years, I've had three TB of live streams. Periscope Lives won't go away.. It's been very helpful to me tremendously.
It works like a charm. If I view the video I would like to download from Periscope, Youtube or Facebook, copy its URL via the share link. I then go to the video-downloader site then paste the video URL there, and within seconds I'll be presented with a range of options to download video. youtube downloader mp3 I can download it to my desktop or laptop, transfer it to other platforms, and then save it for my family and friends ones. It's not every site that can assist with Periscope however this one does well, it can manage m3u8 files that other sites usually download for you.. These are useful however, and I'm not saying that they aren't but they're actually based on fragments from online video feeds, so playing this file in VLC although it's great does not actually do the job because the video isn't actually in your system It's online and playing from the Internet when the player loads small fragments of video 1 by 1...
In case you didn't know that you could make windows copy command help you combine these fragments and make a normal 1 long video file. It's because of MpegTS the video format that is used to divide the video into fragments. Also called transport stream. It contains all the information required for decoding video within each fragment and makes them separate from the stream itself so that each new user can begin streaming without delay. It also keeps data off the browser, as it downloads 360x10 second files instead of the 1hr files. This means that when you only watch 25 seconds of the stream it will only download 4-6 fragments. (It will download 3-4 fragments of the current 25 second stretch plus one or two additional fragments if you keep watching the stream). This greatly reduces the total amount of data required to view the stream for 25 seconds.
