The travel with children can be a challenge. It's not possible to trust the internet at the top of an mountain. I would rather prepare at home.

It's true, I was saying.. My children believe the WiFi at the top of the mountain has weak signals. It's only a small hill. However, it's over the normal range of network. Therefore, my children have to look for better internet connections as my wife and I set up a small camp. We intend to stay here for several days. The nearby creek provides fresh water. Yes.. my wife can't stay in a tent without water, so we bring our own.


As my kids browse their Facebook profiles I'm enjoying the view. This hill is not so large. It's surrounded by a multitude of. To be closer to nature, we come to this hill only once during the month of blue moon. These trips are among my favorites, and I'm the only one who loves these trips. My wife insists on doing this. Maybe she is aware of how much I enjoy being outdoors in the wild. But my children are a completely different story. Internet occasionally goes out of service. Your streaming song can be disrupted by something in the cloud, or by other magnetic movement for up to a minute before it is restored. It can be a hassle for me too, as it often causes me to hear the entire incident occur.

So, after a number of trips that were without internet, and when our normal internet would drop in and out of service We determined to be prepared. My wife and I made a decision to be prepared for the day when our kids, our children, aren't connected to the internet for more than 10 minutes. Two entertainment sources were found, even if the Internet isn't available when we're camping. The tablet had music videos as well as the most popular songs it had. Our most-loved Youtube mp3 converter helped us remove songs from video clips then convert them to an mp3 file and download onto the tablet. It also supported playlists, making it very fast even though it sounds extremely long. If someone were down or feeling bored you can listen to music, watch videos, and - lucky for us all - listen to music with blue tooth connected headphones. What a great idea, don't you think? This item doesn't make any noise.

The second tablet had a lot of cartoons as well as TV shows that were downloaded via Hulu, Netflix and other apps. This permits offline storage that allows for saving the videos for later viewing. The quality isn't great, but it's still something. There are many seasons of Breaking Bad there and many cartoons like Family Guy and Disenchantment. It's very enjoyable. Also, it was easy. All you had to do was install the apps and allow downloading to watch offline. Once you have downloaded episodes make sure you mark them available for download, and put them away. Tablet 2 arrived one or 2 times after tablet 1 however, once it was joined by us at The Wild, my kids couldn't stop using it to watch shows and to use it. There were a few DIY videos I put on for things like making the tent and skinning fresh caught fish. These are things you might not attempt at home. These two tips kept my kids busy on 4 family camping trips. Even though they don't like getting out anymore, they know that tablet 2 will keep them busy when they are bored. They will also be able to take it home once they're completed. I've never felt happier. I enjoy spending time with my family.
