Are you tired of movies like Birdman and The Artist winning the oscars? Don't you wish you could pick your own films to nominate? Well now you can in the family oscars. The family oscars is a movie awards game where you can nominate and vote for your favorite movies to win as best picture and other minor award categories. Please read the rules thoroughly. Ask if you have any questions.
Rules:
Best picture:
●Each person can pick 0-4 films to nominate as best pictures. The deadline is a month before the oscars.
●These films must have came out on dvd in 2015.
●You will not know what other people nominated; only Kevin will know. If two or more people nominate the same movie, it will only be in the final nominations list once.
●Each person votes for their top three favorite movies out of all of the nominated films chosen by the family.
•First favorite- adds 3 points
•Second favorite- adds 2 points
•Third favorite- adds 1 point
All of the points are added up for each film. The film with the most points wins as best picture. If there is a tie, then it just ends up being a tie. (The runner up and the second runner up will be announced too).
Mini Categories:
●Each person can only pick a maximum of one thing to nominate for each category.
●Each person can only vote once per category.
●Each vote is worth 1 point.
Mini category examples: Best art design, best visual effects, best original song, best actor, best actress, ect.
■We accept full participation which means watching all of people's nominees. Kevin will set a playlist for the movies on the plex. He is the mediator of this so he will not be participating. When ever you have a nonination in mind, text Kevin only. Don't let anyone else know.■
