My friend was talking about clouds back in the 90-s to me. He was talking about "fluffy clouds in the room" by The Orb. The track was released in the year 1990, and has since become a classic tune from both the 90-s & 2000-s. It was most often played in trance shows by Nick Warren, Sasha, and later Deep Dish. James Zabiela was also a fan in the 2000s. Sometimes, it was heard in the dance music scene. It made me smile every time I heard it, reaching out to people's hearts in an effort to bring out the true essence of trance and house music, the roots in the origins and tradition.
Personally, I prefer listening to LPs as long as I have the original versions. I don't have this particular song, as it wasn't available, and was never sold in stores, until I began to build my collection. But I do wish to acquire the track. If you're interested in a copy of this track, I would suggest saving it as mp3 to your device, I don't think that royalties are still applicable to the song after 30 years and you don't think so. In any case, this can be achieved by using one of these Youtube to mp3 converters, they are free and simple to use, just copy URLs of the video from the browser or the app (easy to do so via the Share button or the link in the video) then paste it into the input field then click submit. You will be able to look up possible options for downloading videos and a mp3 converter as well available. But let's get back to the original idea of this post. I was interested in discussing cloud storage and the possibility of storing your music on it. or storing it there..
If you use Amazon or Spotify to listen to music, you are actually accessing music that is stored somewhere in the cloud. Cloud is an app's cloud storage, which it uses to play specific songs. It is able to instantly download the song to your device and plays it for. This could be a good thing or bad, depending on the settings you have. It is possible to limit the actions of these apps only to the times when you can use unlimited Wi-Fi. However, most apps will play the previously streamed or downloaded audio only if you play it once more within the same time. This is the reason why there's some merit to their system. I find myself telling HULU often to download my TV programs and not due to my desire to have them, rather because I want to be able to stream the shows uninterrupted while on the 1hr one-way train.
Maybe I should get rid of my commute and work from home. Covid and the whole situation justifies it. https://www.mp3hub.cx/en29/ Yet I continue to go back to work because I have to leave this chaotic home for only an hour or so each day... And that's when I start thinking if cloud is better for storing my videos and music. Should I have them on my smartphone? The drawback, as mentioned, is that the monthly data I use can be consumed faster however there's the matter of how many music mp3 and video mp4 files my device handle.. On desktops, those files don't really take much space. Desktops come with massive hard drives.. My Samsung Galaxy 10 storage has too many home videos. Thus, adding a new MP3 to my Samsung Galaxy 10 might require me to remove one or more of my daughter's 15 favorite videos. However, I don't think it will happen.. Since I don't have to delete precious memories on my smartphone, I can still enjoy music and TV shows in cloud.
What do you think? Cloud? Local storage? Time will tell. I would prefer a mix of both.
