Internet Protocol TV (IPTV) is the process of transmitting TV content using Internet Protocol (IP). This is in contrast to traditional broadcasting via satellite or terrestrial. IPTV permits you to stream content on a continuous basis in contrast to downloading media. The client media player is capable of playing the original content, such as channels on TV, nearly instantly. It is referred to as streaming media.
