What is Networking in Blogging and how to promote your blog using networking

Today, I'm going to focus on networking as a fantastic method of promoting a blog.

If I were to begin my journey on the blogging path today, having learned what I know now I'd put a lot of time every day in connecting with people on the internet. The old saying "it's not who you know but who's around' is true when it comes to blogging.

Networking is the act of doing everything which I frequently write about on my blog . Commenting on blogs of other bloggers or responding to comments other bloggers write on your blog, contacting other bloggers whenever you post something you think might interest the readers, providing useful suggestions to bloggers, connecting with others via social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, MySpace and emailing people for a personal introduction, and linking to other bloggers within your field ....

The list can go for... endlessly .... in relation to ways to network , however this time I'd like to put forth a few additional general ideas.

Helpful Resource - how to start a blog

A few suggestions I'd like to make when networking with bloggers:

Don't be stingy - There is a majority of the social networking I have observed among bloggers is mostly about taking rather than giving. One way to leave an impact on someone else is to be kind to them. Encourage them to achieve their goals , showcase their work to inspire them - be willing to meet their needs. Although you must maintain a good boundary (otherwise people will take advantage of the generosity of others) I believe that a sense of generosity is a good approach to network with.

Don't expect to get there in a short time - The most productive relationships I've been a part of through blogging have developed in the course of the course of. Let the relationship develop organically as you establish trust and mutual awareness of the is and how to collaborate.

Find the B-listers - Many so-called "A-lister" bloggers are approached throughout the day with requests to connect with. You might be lucky, I've noticed that reaching out to less-known blogs has a better chances of success (and they still generate many visitors).

Prove Yourself First - If you're new to the field, it may take some time to establish yourself. This doesn't mean that people are cliquey, it's more often due to looking to determine if you're willing to stay with the idea and if you're aware of the subject matter you're speaking about. There's nothing more annoying than connecting with someone who disappears after a few weeks. Make sure you're committed to the long haul and show that your blog is contributing to the industry and you'll meet people who are more inclined to network.

Be persistent, but don't get annoyed - Certain bloggers will need several emails or chats before they warm up to you. There's lots of activity on blogs, so don't be upset If people don't respond, give it another go in a time, but don't follow them .)

Search in Neighboring Niches - It is essential when you use blog networking to connect with bloggers who are in your particular niche. However, do not limit yourself to connections with bloggers who aren't in your field, particularly those who are near to you. If you restrict yourself to bloggers who are similar to yours, you'll be encountering people who may view you as a direct rival. Although some may be more than willing to engage with you, I've discovered that connecting with other bloggers outside of my area of expertise can be productive. Another strategy is not to look for networking opportunities based on other bloggers who are interested in your subject however, you should look for opportunities with bloggers with the same reader demographic.

Answer Questions - A key element I've discovered to succeed when networking is to ask many questions of people in your vicinity. Many bloggers enter networking with clearly defined plans and objectives, but don't listen to the other person. If you are someone who is willing to talk with others about their goals as well as their strengths and weaknesses are and also where you can identify their goals, you will not only make a positive impression on them , but also be in a good position to understand what your position is in line with someone else's. This is where networking is the most efficient.

Make yourself a "go-to" person and Connector - When you interact with others , don't just concentrate on you as well as the person you are networking with instead, try to draw other people into the connections you've established. I've found that people are especially happy even if I'm not able to assist them, but I can direct people to others who is able to. This makes a positive impression on both parties you interact with, that could lead them to contact you in the future for opportunities (ie you are the go to' person since they trust that you'll assist them personally or refer them to someone else who can).

Make an elevator pitch - There was written regarding people in business having the ability to describe their activities in a succinct way (having an elevator pitch). I believe that being able accomplish this is essential for blog networking as well. I receive numerous emails every day from people looking to cooperate in some way, and in most cases, it's only a few seconds into an email when I figure out the person you are as well as what they're talking about. Make a few key phrases that define the person you are, the work you do and the services you can offer other people. A good elevator pitch is about the subject matter of your blog. Thinking about these points will allow others to understand what you can contribute to the table - but they can assist you in understanding that as well.

Search for Points of Synergy - Perhaps this reveals more about my personality However, I've observed the most lucrative relationships to be those in which there was a spark or "energy" around our interactions - especially when there was a synergy in goals and objectives , but there was also relationship to personality. My approach is always to look for areas of energy or'synergy', and then go along with the points of synergy. Maybe someone might have a more technical description , but it has worked for me.

I'm looking for more information about your experience with blogging networking and how it has contributed to your blog's growth.
