The first thing that I will say is just 2 basic PVP strats that work, the first one is to always get the last hit, depending on your ping (has to be under 200) stop sprinting, AFTER YOU TRADE THE FIRST AND 2nd HIT if you are not sprinting, you will win, just make sure that you HAVE TO BE TRADING HITS AND MOVING or you will just die, if they know a counter to the strat, by spacing youself so you get the last hit because sprinting gives you more reach, just sprint for the last hit and you will in 2nd PVP Strat, and the one that I personally do, is the (Low Ping Only) Super Jump strat, after you trade the first hit, TIME UR JUMP, super jump in the air, move your body to get behind them, depending on a high or low sens, it will give you a combo, if not just a free hit, win the fight, the 3rd and final PVP strat, that I didnt include because of the low circumstances that it works, and needs alot of blocsk, the "Build Up strat" Basically with 200+ blocsk you build up enough to not take fall damage, jump down, repeat I showcased it in a video here, but it takes alot of CPS, i can only do it with drag click (27+) https://streamable.com/4gqjkl

Now that we have finsihed PVP, lets talk about actual MID controlling strats, the first thing you do is obviously get 8,16,20,28 iron depending on the strat, You will either PVP, and drop the first 2 ems you picked up and the other person will go base, or you go base afterwards, you can either HARD CONTROL MID, (Risky) or just go base, lets talk about hard controlling, its usually bad, but works soemtimes, you stay mid the WHOLE GAME, without going base, if you dont go base you will not dupe, and will be undergeraed if they decide to go mid you can die with alot of ems, the other stratergy, is to get 8 ems and go base, regularly get iron, pvp people, keep mid, regular strat most used by clans, the other strat is the recources stratergy on a 30v30 map, it takes 30 seconds for emeralds to generate, at that time you can go to diamond generator, and get diamonds, depending if they were not there, you need to build a wing, to get to the diamond generator

#1 Most Basic thing, always have blocks and a bow on you
#2 Make sure to have an enderpearl if you are carrying emeralds, make sure to run away
#3 If Multiple people are at mid just run
#4 If outgeared (A little bit) like diamond upgrades do the block strat
