Firstly, the ink is printed onto a dissolvable substrate (P.V.A). The ink is then liquefied by applying a liquid activator spray. Then, the part is slowly lowered into the water tank. The remaining ink is sprayed away and the part is left with a unique and aesthetically pleasing pattern. The best choice for this method is to use a dark, or a combination of black, grey, and white ink for best results.
The second type of hydro dipping pattern is made from carbon fiber. The black ink makes for a very authentic look with transparent rows. Lastly, there are many different ways to design the final result. If you want to achieve a natural or organic look, you should try using a base coat with a dark color such as DTP Charcoal Metallic. Then, you're good to go. The next step in creating a unique and beautiful pattern is to apply a primer on the surface of the surface you're coating.
