Review About Spirit Airlines: A blog around the whole Spirit Airlines experience, including the flights and booking procedure.
1. Intro

I had my first long, exhausting trip on Spirit Airlines in November of 2015. We had just returned from Europe, and were about to embark on a direct flight to the East coast. I took my boarding pass, and went ahead to check-in. The name printed out on the boarding pass looked familiar, but I couldn't remember why (I was going to say a weird name), so I was questioning myself: "Is this important?", as I noticed its importance.
In my search for the name of this airline, I also checked the Yelp reviews; many were negative: ‘Spirit Airlines’ was mentioned as one of the worst airlines.
I knew that Spirit Airlines were popular for their cheap fares and excellent service quality, but I have never heard of them until then. It wasn’t until later that day that we actually reached our destination; it seemed like we made it there in no time at all! The flight itself was smooth and quick — we got there in plenty of time! It didn’t take long before we arrived at our destination and parked our luggage in our room; everything that we had expected to arrive was here!
After a few hours spent chilling in bed, we went out for dinner and walked around a little bit — it was definitely different than what we are used to getting served at home; they serve people with disabilities here! We went back to the hotel around 6:30 PM (we had an early flight), but didn’t get back into bed until 8:30 PM! In fact, it was so late by when we got back into bed (around 10 PM) that my wife fell asleep immediately!

2. A Story of Spirit Airlines

I just read the article Spirit Airlines and decided to write one of my own. The following is a review of Spirit Airlines, written and posted on the blog I run, "The Real Life at the Bottom."
I had been traveling with Spirit Airlines for four years. Before that, I had flown with three different airlines - American Airlines, Delta Airlines, and United. So far, I've never been treated poorly or rudely by Spirit Airlines staff. It's been a long time since I've felt that way on any airline.
The main things that frustrate me about flying with Spirit are: 1) their ridiculous fees (they charge you for everything from your seat to your personal items to buying food to paying for your personal water bottle), 2) their no-call/no-show policy (they won't call you if they're delayed in handling your baggage), 3) their terrible customer service (they will not answer any questions except when they have a legitimate question or concern), and 4) their poor system (which takes forever).
Since I'm an air traveler who has always had excellent service from airlines, I usually don't mind paying extra fees to fly on specific airlines - especially if there's something wrong with it or if it's more convenient than flying on those airlines' flights. But Spirit doesn't make me feel like they care about me; what makes me feel that way is when they do anything other than charge me extra fees.
For example, let's say my flight is delayed because someone was sick in first class and they can't get them in until tomorrow morning. Well...it's not bad enough that I need to pay for a taxi ride home!?!? Seriously? That's all it took? They should have called me when they were delayed so we could figure out what was going on before driving all the way back up there!?! And instead of calling the taxi company first so we wouldn't drive all the way back up there in order to be late getting back home, why did they immediately call my cell phone?!? Whatever happened to giving people 48 hours notice before charging them for transportation?!? Instead of giving people 48 hours notice, why did you just automatically charge them?!
When traveling on Spirit Airlines around New York City and Washington D.C., it seems like every flight has a very low priority as far as security goes - there are even times when pilots skip security altogether so they don't have to take off early because there are

3. Spirit Airlines' Results

Spirit Airlines is one of the worst airlines I have ever flown on, and I've been flying a lot. It's mainly because they don't provide any support whatsoever. They don't even reply to emails and when you try to get help, you are left with a wrong number or an automated message saying the employee is busy or unavailable.
I've tried to book flights for my family through Spirit Airlines for over 3 months now, but we have still not received any flight. You can see that they have no record of me as a customer.

You can also see that Spirit Airlines has 672 reviews on Facebook, but only 0 positive reviews. One of these was from me who rated it 4 stars (out of 5) and recommended it to my friend!
It's absolutely the worst airline I ever flown on. Absolutely the worse company in the world for lack of response and customer service!

4. A Strategy for Spirit Airlines

I am a huge fan of the Spirit airlines website. While at first, it can be confusing to navigate, it is by far the cheapest way to book flights online. I've been flying through their website since 2009 and have never had a problem (except in 2009, when they didn't have any flights available as my flight was cancelled). I've used them for all my trips from Las Vegas to London and also from Frankfurt to Amsterdam. While it can be frustrating at times, I wouldn't hesitate to fly with them again.

5. Conclusion

Spirit, a ‘low cost’ US airline, was founded in 1993 and has been around for almost 20 years.
In 2007, it went public, after going bankrupt in 2001.
The airline is based in the USA and does business mostly in the US, but has also operated routes to Mexico and Canada.
Spirit Airlines is a low cost airline and is also known as Spirit Airlines or Spirit Airline.
Sixty-eight percent of its revenue comes from fares paid by passengers who book reservations online from its website or via call centers and are eligible for discounts on their fares. Thirty-two percent of its revenue comes from ticket sales at airports like Charlotte/Fort Lauderdale International Airport. The rest of the revenue comes from inflight services such as food and alcoholic beverages (32 percent), baggage (31 percent), seat reservations (20 percent) and other charges (17 percent).
Its slogan is "When We Can't Fight It We Fly It" which gives an idea of how cheap Spirit is compared to other airlines which have higher prices than it does.
Its slogan was chosen by an online vote conducted by the company's customers following an internal contest held between October 2006 to December 2007 among more than 1,000 fans of the airline, who were asked to vote on their favorite slogan's meaning. The winning slogan was "Spirit Airlines: When We Can't Fight It We Fly It".
The name "Spirit" came about because then CEO Robert Crandall chose to go with the name rather than a generic "Airline." In https://spiritairtofly.com/ said:
I had no desire to be associated with a brand that was so poorly understood that it had become synonymous with air travel - either through sheer bad luck or through deliberate misappropriation of our name. I decided we would be better served if we were known as Spirit Airlines instead."
