When the last bet or raise on the final betting round is called, the "showdown" occurs. This is the time when the pot is decided. Players show their hands one after another. Know when to quit. This is a very important concept to grasp. Some poker players keep playing and playing until they have serious financial issues. If you continue playing to "breakeven," then you have been playing for too long. Additionally, if you start to lose your focus on the game and other opponents, and you constantly think that everyone is bluffing, than you have been playing too long. One of the regulars with whom I played was what I would consider a very loose and aggressive gambler. His bankroll fluctuated in an insane way.
