When the Xbox was released a long time ago I decided I would go all out and give every game I reviewed a proper 101 rating. I wanted to be fair, even if I really didn't have any games to compare it too. As time went on it seemed like some games were better than others.
When I played through Halo 4 a longer time with it, the but was no different. I have seen other games released that were far worse than Halo so I was expecting some good from Bungie but the one thing that really attracted me back to Halo was the online. For game 8 bit was almost like a full on sequel. I spent a lot of time in the Master Chief's room, which was cool.
Now, the game is out and I have a decent idea of how it plays, online. I have played it online for many hours and have reached the highest rank possible. I have been matched against some good players and good friends and it is anything but easy. I'm hoping to get into diamond at some point, just so I can play some more of the awesome Halo 4 campaign.
The campaign itself is a lot of fun. You get to follow the story of Noble Team, which is a group of Spartan IV's. You will encounter Covenant forces all throughout your journey and will have to call for assistance from within enemy lines to help you take them down. The new mechanics added to the Halo mix, allow you to change up your gameplay so it never gets boring. I have encountered so many other games that had so much action, that after like a week or two, you are done.
The problem with Halo is that it seems to lose its relevancy as you get further into the game. You will enter the later stages of the game having played it as a green humvee to the very end. I guess its just harder to tweak the button configuration of a Covenant tank.
game 8 bit is an awesome addition to this already great game. And one thing I noticed, is that it's fun to play. You can play 24/7 and actually look forward to making more friends to play with. The ranking system actually works. So there is competition to be the best, which is exciting.
I'll see what happens when I get to the part that gets to the bottom of this game, but its fun to play. And I haven't run into any problems while playing it. At least I have so far solved the problems that I had in the beginning, of falling out of the game. It is like Pro Evolution Soccer in the way that it's hard to master. But like Pro Evolution, I'm sure that I can figure it out, especially since Microsoft isn't going to improve the game with for next year.
