How do you keep up with the music of your country of residence despite the fact that you have lived there for the past 10+ years

How are you getting on? I am a Russki youth who moved to America to seek a better life. In Russia I was not wealthy. I was in the middle. My family, and not me. As an adult in Russia the money wasn't a necessity. We needed to find ways of earning money. Many methods were employed and most of them involved soliciting money from neighbors to buy their vodka. It was almost the same. We looked for quick ways to make some money so that we could buy bread. We always had food cravings.

So I made it to America. It's far away from New York, Brooklyn and Brighton Beach. This is a place that reminds me of home. It's loud and dirty, it smells like Russia, and people there are rude. I spent quite a bit of money in Russia, mostly to visit Russian restaurants and book and music shops.

Music and books are two of my most cherished things. As it turned out recently, you can find Russian books on Kindle. This is why I no longer buy hard copies books. My wife, who is almost an avid collector has a small space in her house therefore I try to avoid buying unnecessary things. The stacks were pretty nice for the first few weeks however, they began to look sad. I eventually moved them into my garage which still is big enough for my belongings.


Music is a different matter. I'm a fan of music as my job requires me to travel far distances and I listen to a lot. Although I'm a Russian-born immigrants, I'm not a fan of American music. I simply don't like rap, hip hop, rock, metal and pop. Also, all the modern stuff that kids love to dance. I love the old Russian music, and also the Russian songs that are jail-like. They are still popular after all these years. Yes, they put everything on Youtube nowadays. You can find me on Youtube for hours, even after hours.

After a while, I had an extensive playlist that included more than 300 songs I love. Since there are more than 300 songs, it's not difficult to get used to the tunes. But, when I want to listen to them while driving, I don't have internet access. I require it for navigation and driving. I prepare all of my preparations at home. I'm now in the middle. I take a few songs to Youtube as mp3 files. After that, I burn those MP3s to a CD with my computer. Next I drive the CD to my car and listen. This site can print out an entire Youtube playlist, then convert every song into mp3 to save on my computer at home. Then , it's simple to transfer it to audio CD. Sometimes I'm prone to making a mistake and make data CD. It won't play on my car stereo. However it is possible to record audio. It's amazing to see how technology operates. I don’t need to connect to the internet or any other gadgets to play MP3. Simply insert the CDs into the stereo slot, and I hear the Russian music booming in Manhattan.

It is easy and inexpensive to download videos from Youtube and convert them into MP3 files so that you can save them to your smartphone. One of my friends connected his smartphone to the car stereo. It was playing excellent audio in just two seconds. He could also stream Spotify and Pandora radio. https://www.yconverter.cc It's not a huge undertaking and doesn't require much Internet. I'm going to try this next.. However, I'll only use free wifi.
