Hello,

I'm a software engineer working for Hewlett-Packard, HP Brazil R&D since 2006. During this period I developed a variety of enterprise solutions, from complex datacenter management products to exciting proof of concepts focusing on research and development.

Since 2010, I shifted to mobile development. I worked on the HP ePrint for Android, which can be found here: http://bit.ly/hpEprint It was an outstanding experience and also very challenging in terms of User Experience and specific technical platform issues.

I really enjoy developing for mobile platforms. My life changed when I got my first iPhone. The device itself plus the software it runs and its integration with the rest of my Apple devices is simply amazing. That made me to rethink my entire role as a software engineer and to outline new long-term goals. Now I really want to focus on creating apps for Apple devices: iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches and Mac OS.

I do have real-world experience with iOS. Back in 2010, I made an app called OrkUp. It was a photo uploader for Orkut, Google's social network before G+. It was very popular in Brazil at that time. The app ranked first in the Social Networking category and 3rd place overall in the Paid Apps category. It was an amazing feedback! I also developed a little free open-source app called Green Light! , which is live at the App Store: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/green-light!/id888166475

Recently I created an app targeting Brazilian drivers. It's an offline map (it does not rely on the Internet to work) that can show a variety of points of interest. Like speed radars, for example. Here it is: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/meleva!/id897334822?mt=8

Currently I'm working on a little human-friendly budget app made entirely in Swift: http://www.slideshare.net/mfernandesfernando/123-40574561 I plan to release it in December.

I want to take my skills to the next level. I know I have a lot to learn. I also think I have something to teach. As I mentioned, my life changed when I got my first iPhone. It made me rethink my role as a software engineer. I want users to rethink and change their life too by using our amazing products. :)
