Top six Beaches in Cyprus

Government in Cyprus is in support of Blue Flag application, which encourages clean and eco friendly beaches. This system is owned and operated and run by a single independent and non-profit organization, named Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). On the foundation of implementing safety procedures, service quality, eco friendly principles of water quality as well as sewage management, along with the unspoiled natural beauty of theirs, I've created a modest selection of 7 beaches.


Beaches mentioned as family friendly had been given with Blue Flag award, while the rest of the beaches have been selected primarily due to the impressive natural beauty of theirs.


Family friendly beaches:


1. Dhekelia Beach ( Larnaca ) - situated in village of Oroklini contained Larnaca district. This is one of the gorgeous, eco favorable gems that offer clean waters, sandy environment, environment which is safe (lifeguards), disabled accessibility, restaurants and bars and is easily accessible on foot, bike or perhaps a vehicle. Added attractions are in form of water sports provided, like as: scuba diving, wind surfing, fishing etc.


2. McKenzie beach (Larnaca) - located found Larnaca municipality, the beach starts off shortly as you allow Larnaca airport, unfolding face you as you drive in the course of the city. The beach resort is quieter version, compared to Phinikoudes beach, and that is the principle beach that fronts the promenade. McKenzie beach is noted for its white sand, clean and shallow sea. This's an extremely well-liked beach during the Protaras District, for those that know about it. It wasn't sign-posted from nearby roads, so search for symptoms indicating place of Salparo Hotel apartments and that will bring you close to the beach itself. The beach offers water skiing facilities, paragliding or you can just enjoy the clean waters of its blending with sandy surroundings.


4. Nissi Beach (Ayia Napa) on a tranquil Nissi Bay is a magnificent sandy swimming pool with calm, clean, eye catching turquoise sea waters and great views. Geographically it's configured in a way that it's sheltered in the wind. Being only three kilometers away from Ayia Napa, it's a lot quieter then the town swimming pool itself.

5. Lara bay (Paphos) - established where developer's hands has not yet fully reached, on the north-west coastal side of the island - on the Akamas Peninsula. Lara bay is situated on the Paphos side, roughly 8 km provided by Ayios Georgios. It's accessible only by 4x4 or even by hiking. This's a' nature at its best', nearly deserted sandy beach. It's one of the few remaining havens for that loggerhead and green Turtle to nest. The beach is restricted in summer which is high simply because turtles are nesting. Not recommended for kids.

6. Coral Bay (Paphos) - is one of best known shores in Western Cyprus. Being placed with the Peyia Municipality of Paphos, the swimming pool is about 10 mins drive from Paphos. The seaside features a beautiful very long curved stretch of golden sand that falls in between 2 headlands. shallow and Calm waters offer up safe swimming environment for swimmers-novices and children. For those looking for a water adventure, well equipped diving, water skiing and canoeing clubs are widely available.
