Best THINGS TO DO IN TASHKENT UZBEKISTAN WITH YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS

Uzbekistan's modern capital Tashkent lives a bit in the shadows on the more attractive-looking Silk Road cities Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva.

It is a shame because Tashkent is a really wonderful destination to pay a visit to and spend some time in case you know where you can go.

IS TASHKENT SAFE FOR TOURISTS?

The capital of Uzbekistan is quite safe for tourists which also became more secure now that the governing administration introduced a' tourist police'. You will find their boots in each and every touristic city in Uzbekistan.

See THE WORLD'S OLDEST KORAN AT THE HAZRAT IMAM COMPLEX

The Hazrat Imam Complex, also referred to as the Hast-Imam Ensemble or perhaps Khast Imam, will be the religious center of Tashkent. It is the perfect place to start your Tashkent sightseeing trip.

SHOP AT CHORSU BAZAAR

The Chorsu Bazaar is Tashkent's biggest market where natives are able to buy almost anything from raw food items, fresh fruits and veggies, spices and honey to clothing, jewelry, beauty products and more. You can simply find everything here!

VISIT THE KUKELDASH MADRASAH As well as the DZUMA MOSQUE

While Kukeldash is not as extraordinary at the three madrasahs that involve Registan Square in Samarkand, the building still is a beautiful example of Islamic architecture and worth a quick visit.

ADMIRE THE MINOR MOSQUE

Locals telephone call it the "Snow Mosque" since it's completely made out of white marble. It is very gorgeous when the sunrays hit the walls of its, earning the mosque sparkle and shine.

CLIMB THE TASHKENT TV TOWER

The Tashkent Tower is with its 375 meters the 11th tallest tower of the earth. You are able to use the elevator until the 6th flooring and enjoy the panoramic views across the city away from the observation deck.

Visit THE MEMORIAL TO THE VICTIMS OF REPRESSION And also the SURROUNDING PARK

I truly enjoyed spending some time at the Memorial on the Victims of Repression and the park surrounding it.The memorial is a big gazebo-shaped structure with an azure dome. The museum of the Victims of Political Repression is in addition a beautiful building however, the story behind it's a bit depressing.

HAVE LUNCH AT THE CENTRAL ASIAN PLOV CENTER

Plov is probably the most prominent Central Asian dish. This traditional Uzbek dish consists of elmer rice fried with raisins, carrots, and also spices with meats on top part of it. It is usually prepared in lamb fat and served with pieces of lamb meat.

Ride THE METRO

Tashkent has some of the most incredible metro stations in the world! Visiting Tashkent's subway was one of the most memorable highlights of my time in the city!Almost each and every metro station deeply in Tashkent is fascinating. They have their own distinctive architectural features and artistic components.

LEAF THROUGH SOME BOOKS AT THE BOOK BAZAAR

In case you like books and old magazines, you could enjoy this little Book Bazaar. We stayed in an Airbnb alongside the park where this bazaar can be found so we stumbled upon it by chance. The Book Bazaar consists of little bookstalls lined up along a pedestrian block in a nice green park.

Discover UZBEKISTAN'S HISTORY Within the STATE MUSEUM OF HISTORY

This museum has 2 floors with a range of exhibits showing the story of Uzbekistan in the last 2500 years.

The entry fee is 10000 UZS, 25000 UZS in case you would like to take photographs (not actually worth every penny in the opinion) of mine and you are able to get an English speaking manual for 8000 UZS (this is worth it in case you wish to read more).
