The Most Famous Peninsulas of Ireland

Located contained County Down, the Ards Peninsula creates a lovely vista with Strangford Lough shaping an almost semi circular peninsula interested out there in the Irish Sea. It is without doubt the most unusual shaped peninsula on the island of Ireland, most of with whom are more sharply fjord like defined. The Ards Peninsula is effectively populated with busy town of Newtownards for the north of it being the biggest settlement. Sights to see incorporate Grey Abbey, and that is the ruins of an old Cistercian Monastery, and Mount Stewart, which is an 18th century mansion as well as gardens open to everyone in the summer period.

The most prominent and frequented peninsula in Ireland, the Dingle Peninsula is situated in the heartland of tourist found Ireland, County Kerry. One of the driving highlights from the Dingle Peninsula is negotiating the Conor Pass, the highest mountain pass of Ireland, across the top part of Mount Brandon at nearly 1,000 metres.
