Thirty six Hours in Lake Bled

Lake Bled would be the crown jewel of Slovenia. With a postcard perfect church crowning Slovenia's only natural island, a castle clinging to a cliff and a turquoise lake established among some of probably the highest peaks around the Julian Alps, it's easy to discover the reason why it's among the top places to go to in Slovenia. Bled Castle|10am Not to missed is a call to Bled Castle, if for absolutely nothing different than the gorgeous views over the lake and also Bled church. Sitting atop a 130 meter high cliff, Bled Castle is the oldest castle in Slovenia and also the sign of the nation.

The entire length of the gorge is only aproximatelly one mile in length, which means you can conveniently hike in and completely in below an hour.


Grajska Beach|5pm Head over to Grajska Beach to cool raised a few inches off with a few Lake Bled swimming in the end that sport and exploring. It is the only designated swimming location on Lake Bled, although it's lots of space with 300 meters of seaside area and enclosed swimming and so you do not have to worry about pletnas and kayaks.


Dinner|7:30pm Restavracija 1906 is among the best restaurants in Lake Bled and a local favorite. The chef puts a contemporary spin on standard Slovene dishes. Try the 6-course tasting menus (must be selected by the entire table) for a sampling belonging to the restaurant's very best dishes.
