In order to improve our well-being and better manage one's mental strife, certain actions can be taken, and here are some ways in order to do just that:
1. Don't ignore emotional pain. You shouldn't bottle up your emotions when crippled with heartache. We know how to treat physical pain, but we also need to be able to recognise when we've experienced a distressing situation.

2. Don't get caught in failure. You've got to change your attitude towards failure. Often our gut reaction is to take it as a blow to our self-esteem and focus on what we did wrong. However, this isn't a very constructive reaction. Instead, !!!chalk it up to experience!!! and focus on how you could avoid such a failure the next time.

3. Use a positive distraction. Break cycles of brooding (размышления) or unhealthy rumination by using your brain for something else. Try doing a puzzle to give your mind something else to focus on. You won't automatically feel better, but even two minutes will help!

4. Reframe the losses in your life. This needn't mean that you ought to try to permanently shake off painful experiences but do try to appreciate what you have gained as a result. First and foremost, an appreciation for the life you're living should be cultivated in order to feel happier overall.

5. Don't let guilt last across time. You needn't hold on to guilty feelings. Although a little bit of guilt can lead to mending (устранению) a problem, lingering guilt can be destructive. Give a sincere apology to the person whose feelings you hurt as this way you can move past the problem with a clean conscience.
