SariAgri - Aparat Malaysia menangkap lima nelayan Indonesia karena diduga melanggar batas zona penangkapan ikan pada 14 April 2021 lalu. berita kelautan dan perikanan Namun, pihak Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan berhasil menjemput kelima nelayan tersebut dengan selamat beserta kapalnya.
Berdasarkan laporan dari Himpunan Nelayan Seluruh Indonesia (HNSI) Medan bahwa ada kapal nelayan Indonesia yang ditangkap AL-Malaysia.
Mendengar ada nelayan Indonesia yang ditangkap aparat AL Malaysia, KKP langsung menghubungi otoritas negeri jiran. Kemudian dengan menggunakan Kapal Pengawas Hiu 03 untuk dilakukan penjemputan di tengah laut.
"Alhamdulilah mereka setuju untuk bebaskan 5 Nelayan WNI beserta kapalnya. Dan semalam telah dijemput oleh KP Hiu 03 bertemu di tengah laut saat ini telah masuki Belawan sekitar jam 11.30 hari ini," tulis laporan dari HNSI Medan yang diterima SariAgri, Senin (10/5/2021).

Usai menyelamatkan nelayan Indonesia, pihak KKP berkoordinasi dengan Stasiun Belawan untuk proses serah terima ke Pemda atau HNSI Provinsi Sumut
Atas kejadian ini, KKP selalu berkomitmen dan aktif melindungi nelayannya yang tertangkap pihak aparat Luar Negeri. Tercatat, selama tahun 2019, Ditjen PSDKP-KKP telah memulangkan 127 nelayan Indonesia yang tertangkap di berbagai negara diantaranya Malaysia, Timor Leste, Myanmar, Thailand, Australia dan India.
