SariAgri - Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) mengawali agenda kerja di Jawa Timur dengan mengunjungi Pusat Pemasaran dan Distribusi Ikan (PPDI) Brondong yang terletak di Kabupaten Lamongan. Di lokasi tersebut, Jokowi sempat berdialog dengan perwakilan nelayan setempat.
“Pagi hari ini saya dengan Pak Menteri, juga ada Ibu Gubernur, Bapak Bupati Lamongan datang ke TPI (Tempat Pelelangan Ikan) Brondong, Kabupaten Lamongan. Intinya saya ingin melihat secara langsung keadaan dan situasi nelayan selama pandemi,” ujar Jokowi, Kamis (6/5).
berita perikanan terkini Jokowi mengatakan, para nelayan masih dapat melaut dengan hasil tangkapan yang diperoleh juga masih normal.
“Tadi disampaikan oleh beliau, Pak Agus, bahwa kondisi nelayan di sini tidak ada masalah dan bisa melaut seperti biasanya normal, hasilnya juga normal,” kata dia.
Jokowi menyebut para nelayan juga menyampaikan beberapa keluhan serta meminta bantuan pemerintah. Salah satunya adalah mengenai pendangkalan yang terjadi di dua lokasi di pelabuhan.
“Sudah saya sampaikan, nanti 2-3 bulan akan segera dilakukan pengerukan. Termasuk juga lampu haluan untuk minta ditinggikan, diperbaiki juga, sudah saya sanggupi,” ujarnya.
Perbaikan tersebut diharapkan Kepala Negara dapat mendorong peningkatan produktivitas dan kesejahteraan para nelayan.
“Kita harapkan beberapa perbaikan tadi nanti bisa meningkatkan perbaikan kesejahteraan nelayan karena mau berlabuh, mau bongkar lebih mudah,” ucap dia.
