Fun Adventures in Bali

The beautiful island of Bali conjures up dreamy images of your tropical paradise, and despite being fairly compact it does not take most favored tourist destination in Indonesia. Its appeal is sucked from many sources such as the blissful climate, gorgeous beaches, unique culture, delicious food, and comparatively cheap living costs. Beach lovers could easily while away their entire stay simply bathing in the rays, sipping cocktails away from coconuts, and splashing about inside the warm sea, but there is also plenty available for additional adventurous travellers...

A two-hour climb for the summit of active volcano Mount Batur to view sunlight rise is an incredibly memorable experience, along with your local guide may add towards the fun by cracking and cooking an egg on some lava-heated rock - reminding you merely how active the volcano actually is. It's a fairly accessible hike should you be reasonably fit, and you are clearly rewarded with views in the sunrise over Bali's tallest mountain, Mount Agung, while for the north you see several steaming, active cones. Diving and snorkelling

White water rafting

In central Bali, the island's cultural heart, Ubud comes with a good base for white water rafting excursions outside of the dry season. After studying the town's historical sites and temples, including some from the most beautiful about the island, you are able to head west to Sayan near the lush Ayung gorge. Whitewater rafting operators will require you for a day for the Class II and Class III rapids, which aren't essentially the most challenging within the world but are set against a spectacularly beautiful backdrop.

Surfing

One in the island's best-known resorts is Kuta, once a sleepy fishing village currently a well known backpacking spot, particularly amongst Australian surfers.
