What is monkey noodle fidget toy?

Monkey Noodle is a fidget toy that you can stretch, pull, twirl, wrap and squeeze it � then watch it bounce back to its original shape. It is perfect for sensory and tactile stimulation.

The most Kennedy-Hitler moment was when I pulled out the calzone maker. The Sulawesi frog print stood out like a sore thumb.

The only thing worse than tearing open a $50 calzone canister in a Pizza Hut parking lot is opening the wrapping paper that was on the other side. When that didn�t work, I filled the gaps with bacon. Who needs sausage on a calzone?

Eventually, I wrapped bacon around the bacon wrapper. Sizzling bacon was a pleasure, but not too spicy, and the unexpected flavor knocked me out. But that bacon still looked delicious, and it wasn�t bacon AT ALL. It was a clear imitation, and I laughed so hard that I almost puked. But since it was from Pizza Hut, they had to cover it up with a sticker. RIP Pizza Hut.

I thought about calling this item �Rodeo Mom� (as in rodeo mom), but her name was still carved into the space as the pizza store�s corporate branding. At least the logging truck had a good name.

Because I had to have authentic KFC products to complete my collection, I also bought this funny bucket with the cockatoo mascot on it. In some countries, KFC is so synonymous with the bucket that they can include it in their names.

While instructed not to touch the imitation pepper, Miss Nilla loves putting Hot Pockets in her mouth and letting them hit her cheek. It was quite painful, but nonetheless delicious. That laugh� sorry, I meant how it tastes and the chemicals that make it smell so good.

There is no telling who would see this and get hurt. Open wound, no less!

This enormous crushed Hershey�s chocolate bar looks like Legos, but is actually the XXL Boy Toys toy. At 2.2 pounds, it is big enough to create the head of a mountain.

This was tough. I could see that the finest detail worked out a bit as the wrinkles came out, but the texture was not as nice as the Twinkle Fingers come. I chose this one because my 7 year-old boy did not hate it when he tried to give it a squeeze that I let him do.

We�re all men in our adult lives, financially speaking.

Pro tip: get as much change out of a machine at a time as you can. It is a matter of pride as a financially independent dad to get change for whatever your kid likes.






The monkey noodle is the brainchild of none other than Dave Thomas, a chiropractor. He and his wife operate Monkey Noodle to provide relief to people with musculoskeletal disorders such as fibromyalgia, lupus and multiple Sclerosis.

Monkey Noodle came into existence in 2005 with a single product and an equally simple premise � to provide people with musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) alleviation, pleasure and fun while adding some much-needed play time.

The first stages of wear were extremely rugged. The first 12? monkey noodles I purchased were in a small pink box the size of a large purse. They appeared to be several months old due to their large seams and overly rough seams. They were �nubbly]. They just didn�t feel right in my hands or squishy.� Monkey Noodle came in other funky colors as well. There are even tortoise brown versions.

Although realistic, the designs were not hi-res to not have a problem with collection by security. They also didn't flex as well or I would have melted them to play with! Still, they did work well and were ever-so-innocent with wear.

The Second Stage of Wear

The second stage of wear was about putting something round and fuzzy to work. We developed a monkey noodle version of the original gorilla nunchuck which also worked nicely as an fidget toy. It was then I created a scaled down version that I could squeeze, pull, twist, wrap and then potentially ball in any way. I then needed to develop a design for it to be sturdy enough to be used. In a few months I could build a basic cradle that I could the stabilizing mechanism. It was like putting together a Jenga tower of monkey nuggets � A very educational and exciting experience.

On the next steps was verifying the durability of the material. Plus, the greater the use, the greater number of breaks. Using the meeting room of one of my chiropractor colleague�s offices as a guinea pig, I shot a couple of Monkey Noodle videos where I had them wrap the product around a wooden box and talk about how loose it felt when they squeezed it. I then took a couple breaks and watched them nearly explode in pieces. They began to look like they were made of &quot;Monkey Rubble!&quot; I know, I know, then it literally hurt my eyes when I saw several pieces going to pieces in less than 30 seconds... Fortunately, if you watch them closely and squish them good, they seem to fall down...
