How to Get Your First 1000 Followers on Any Social Media Platform

My wine program from. YouTube has a wine channel. YouTube launched a wine show on February 21, 2006, just one year after YouTube was created. I sat down and did a 25 minute show.. It was mostly kids and tech nerds. I did a 25 minute video on wine and me sampling wine. The first 18 months were very difficult for most people to watch. Mentally. 99% of emails, DMs, discussions, and conferences that I attend are predicated around the start with ". How do I & quot & quot? How can I & quot increase my subscribers & quot? How can I increase engagement "? How can brands make more money? How can I quit my job and work full-time in this field "? How do I & quot? How do I & quot? How do I "? It is still my default position. 95 % of the people in this room will not get to where they want to get to, because their entire fucking filter on everything they & # 39 re doing is 100 % selfish and the only way to actually amass victory in this game, where, as amazing, It is that we live in a day and age now, where you can be a creator and just like, live your life and love what you do and make a living the equal problem is anybody can do it, which creates a very fun dichotomy of supply and Demand., This is a simple game of supply and demand.. Anybody tomorrow can be a slimer or a travel vlogger or a business expert or a fucking entrepreneur right. Anybody can do that.. Everyone can do it. But, the problem is that not everyone can. Number 1. A it ' s. is the second greatest vulnerability for both the creators and the viewers at home. B it and # 39 s are not the truth.. People are so desperate to make it look like they know their backstory and what they are capable of. But that's exactly why they won't get out. I would love to be a quarterback for an NFL team. But, I don't think I can. All of you can see it and you can also put it in your Instagram profile. Everyone in this room, including myself, has the advantage of having lived through economic collapses. Yeah we & # 39 ve lived through, I mean there was one in & # 39, 01 and & # 39 07. Thus we anticipate it in a different way than if you & # 39 re under 32. If you are under 32, it is possible to anticipate what might happen. There are two options. You can either wake up and experience a Bear Stearns or a complete collapse of the economy. People don't want to just buy a $ 22 T-shirt. There is a humorous saying about it. Big brands. Don & # 39 t want to pour money because they don & # 39 t, have it into the market., And so where I & # 39 m. Really going with this is a couple of things. Context. This is what drives success. It is when you read all of your comments about your content. You get context from your audience and it helps you think about the next place. You can go with your storytelling instead of you just being creative and guessing, but you have to put in the work to read the comments. Context and understanding what & # 39 s happening right now in the global economy.. This is all increasing, but it is happening during a period of extremely rapid economic growth. If you're here, and your strategy is: I &# 39 m going to quit my job, and I &# 39 m getting into this, or I am now making $ 80K per year doing this. But, I'm about to make a half million. It is important to understand the context of what we are doing. Entrepreneurs hear it all the time. I don't want to be razz here but I want everyone to understand. If you don't feel like you can crush it, you're a failure as an entrepreneur. ( audience laughing ). This is the easiest era ever to be winning and you have to contextualize that.. Let's just say that you might start right now, and then you can re. Only three months. You can. You didn't have time to conquer it, but fuck. If you & # 39, ve been trying to do it as an entrepreneur for the last five and a half years, and it & # 39 s, not clicking. It's necessary to work for someone. That is why I win every single time I enter something new. It's. What can you do for me? Not the person with 11 million, but the person who &# 39 s next to me. Karma and doing the right things and being kind always win in the end. Always. ( audience applauding ) It does. It does. This is all from a selfish place. All the magic &# 39 s sitting in doing the right thing and being patient. You must be religious about your target audience. Guys, honestly straight up. If you' re sitting in a crown right now it ' s unacceptable for your not to reply the comments you receive on content. Honestly, like fuck it., Like I & # 39 m, just gon na. This is how you should take it. I don't like to do certain things because that is not how life works, but I am just happy going there. It is actually fundamentally grossly negligent and unacceptable for you to be in a place where you do not reply with a thank you or a heart or a meaningful. You read it and you meaningfully wrote something back to every single comment. In whatever small amount you have, it is because seven people are disproportionally why you ' re gonna get 17. (Laughter from the audience). My favourite people are the & quotPeople. Don't forget me. & quot. I&# 39 m. Theirs is a high-flying lifestyle. & quot, I & # 39 m too futuristic. People don't understand me yet. They get it. They think that you're a fool. ( audience laughing ). That is so funny. I am coming from a completely new angle. & quot. No Angel, you &# 39 re not.. If you & # 39 re, not winning right now, it means you & # 39 re losing.. This means the market doesn't love what you ' re, putting forth. You can do something you think the market will like, such as because it's short-term, but not your true self. Or, you can just keep doing what you are doing and watch how it turns out. The second option &# 39 s. To me, it is. Here's why.. I & # 39 m trying to get people to understand that if you & # 39 re making $ 53,000 a year or $ 92 or whatever it may be doing something you hate, wouldn & # 39 t. It be awesome if you could make that same exact number, just making videos about Star Trek or fucking Supreme clothes or like making yogurt right Like to me. This space has always bothered me. I don't think so. People don't realize that the long tail of this space can be the best thing about this game. I & # 39 m, always trying to convince them like yo, you & # 39 re making $ 114. Can you look at what you & # 39 re spending? Can you live a little more humbly? But you really only need $82. Because once you get started on making $82 in brand deals and ads, you'll be able to make $ 114 in less than a minute. We are creating infrastructure costs. There & # 39 s. A lot of people here who are hiring post production people and a PR person and fucking building out a team and they & # 39 ve, got no money coming in. To look the part. The market decides not your self esteem, coach. ( audience laughing ). You're aware of what I mean by the market. If you & # 39 re, so good, and you & # 39 re worth $ 500 an hour as a designer or an editor. It means that people pay you. And if you & # 39 re, not living in an ivory tower in your own fucking head that you & # 39 re worth $ 500. 99 percent lose to Bucks. They spend their money on shit. They do not have the money they need to run their businesses. It &# 39 s, a fucking sin. Game. You will see me talking a lot regarding moving back to home. This is the right thing to do. You are 38 years old. It is, however, not the sole reason. It is the core reason you ' re gon nua be happy for the next seventy years.. ( audience applauds ) People won't take one step backwards to make sure they are happy forever. They are afraid their friends from high school, who are now on Facebook, will make a comment about them living in their basement. I fucking ... fuck. Go ahead. It. instagram online viewer doesn & # 39 t matter. Bro. Yeah., Like they & # 39 re, not living your life., So you & # 39 re right.. So you always say people offer you lunch or coffee, and you & # 39 re like there & # 39 s, no value in that for me. You're right. I mean. It is something I do not like. I find it disgusting that people think they can manipulate me at this point. (Audience laughing) I feel like I'm being disrespected because of the stupidity they show.
