Undergo: If you undergo something necessary or unpleasant, it happens to you.
Mandatory: If an action or procedure is mandatory, people have to do it, because it is a rule or a law.
Inflicted: To inflict harm or damage on someone or something means to make them suffer it.
Significant: A significant amount or effect is large enough to be important or affect a situation to a noticeable degree.
Imposed: If you impose something on people, you use your authority to force them to accept it.
Cultural Competence: Cultural competence refers to an ability to interact effectively with people of different cultures and socio-economic backgrounds, particularly in context of human resources, non-profit organizations, and government agencies whose employees work with persons from different cultural/ethnic backgrounds.
Hesitation: Hesitation is an unwillingness to so something, or a delay in doing it, because you are uncertain, worried, or embarrassed about it.
Exacerbate: If something exacerbates a problem or bad situation, it makes it worse.
Landmark: You can refer to an important stage in the development of something as a landmark.
Compensation: Compensation is money that someone who has experienced loss or suffering claims from the person or organization responsible, or from the state.
Sustained: If you sustain something, you continue it or maintain it for a period of time. Another use is that food or people can sustain (support you) by giving you strength or encouragement.
Mandate: If someone is given a mandate to carry out a particular policy or task, they are given the official authority to do it.
Bureaucratic: Bureaucratic means involving complicated rules and procedures which can cause long delays.
