Sometimes, you'll see what people have done to themselves. Maybe they've slit their wrists, maybe they've starved themselves, maybe something worse. A lot of you wonder why. I'm going to try and explain that for you. You never know what a persons been through. And you can never fully understand. You can only assume, and act accordingly. For example, my counselor has told me that it takes about three times for someone to say something before it sticks. Imagine if someone gets told that they're stupid, or they're ugly. One time? They can brush it off. Every day? It becomes part of you. You start to believe it. Now, if someone gets told that every day, then, if you tell them that they're ugly, or stupid, or anything insulting, they won't brush it off. They'll believe it. Soon enough, they won't need someone to tell it to them, they'll think it about themselves. Never make anynegative coments on anyones appearance, or performance. You never know what scars they'll leave behind. People do this because they feel worthless, and even when they know that they're people who love them, they can't help but wonder why. "Why would someone love me? I'm such an imperfect person..I'm fat, ugly, blonde, overweight, out of shape, awkward, dumb, stupid, and, overall, a complete and utter failure." Yep. People definatley think this about themselves, much more often than you'd think. And do you know why? Because those thoughts were put there. Those were all things that people have said. And the biggest problem is that, they turned from an insult, to a belief. And you can almost never get rid of an idea. Not once it's planted itself inside your mind. Wedged itself in between every thought, into your very subconsious. When you walk by a mirror. The thought, "Wow, I'm really fat.." races in and out of your mind so fast that you hardly reralize that it's there. But if you look for it, you can see the traces of sadness and of gloom that it left behind. And it's then that they know..that there are demons in their mind. Thoughts that consume your happiness, thoughts that ccorrupt your very soul. And the reason why most people don't notice it? It's like water. It corrodes slowly..but surely. One bad thing that's said per day, is just one drop. But if the belief is already there? Then they start to add drops as well. Thinking things about themselves, and worse, believeing it. Now you have your own little stream. Please don't make negative comments. You could turn that tiny stream into a river. And you know people. Theres only so much that we can take. <|3
