진안군이 후원하고 부귀농협이 주최·주관한 이번 축제는 지난 12일부터 3일 동안 온·오프라인에서 동시 진행됐다.

이러한 우려를 불식시키고자 식약처는 김치 수입 규모에 따라 단계적으로 해썹 인증을 의무 적용하는 방안을 추진한다. 먼저 오는 10월 1일부터 수입량 1만톤 이상의 해외 김치 제조업소가 해썹 인증을 의무적으로 획득해야 한다. 2022년엔 5000톤 이상, 2023년 1000톤 이상, 2024년엔 모든 김치 해외 제조업소가 해썹 의무 적용 대상이 된다.


식약처 관계자는 다소비 수입 식품으로 가열공정이 없어 엄격한 관리가 필요한 수입 배추김치를 해썹 의무 적용 품목으로 정해 국민들을 안심시키고자 한다며 앞으로도 해외제조업소 위생관리를 철저히 하여 수입식품에 대한 국민 우려를 완전히 해소할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다고 말했다.




배추 산지에선 ‘신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19)’으로 인한 소비부진에다 중국발 악재가 겹쳤다는 반응을 보이고 있다.


서정원 겨울배추생산자단체협의회장(전남 해남 화원농협 조합장)은 “국민이 예민하게 반응할 수밖에 없는 상황이지만 당혹스러운 것도 사실”이라며 “정부나 농협 등 관련 단체가 국산 배추김치의 안전성을 적극 홍보해 상황을 반전시켜야 한다”고 강조했다.
