Coming with the charm and romance of Ryan Gosling in "The Notebook", and the playfulness and creativeness of Burning Man I write to hopefully entice you to consider having me and my performance for any and all of your future events worldwide. I go by Ryan Ashley The Poet and my performance is simple but leaves a lasting impression. I set up a vintage typewriter, dress in vintage poet apparel, I have a sign that reads "A Poem For You" and with every inquiring guest request, I create an Original custom poem typed right there on the spot on a beautiful stationary piece of paper (potentially with the bride/grooms name on it or company logo) for all to have and to keep as a cherished memory thus elevating their experience as well as setting in stone what a wonderfully charming and beautiful event they attended. My experience is mostly with events such as weddings, conferences, corporate events, fundraisers, baby showers, holiday gatherings, and just about any other type of event you could think of..... though I will say the magic shines at whimsical, and dynamic settings that honor unique one of a kind experiences. My performance art has been featured in The Atlantic, Austin Chronicle, Humans of New York, and dozens of other publications nationwide. Currently based in Asheville, North Carolina though most of my gigs come out of Austin, TX, San Francisco, New York, and Denver, Colorado. I have also been flown to places across America and now Europe. I have written for celebrities, executives, and politicians as it has become very clear through the event entertainment industry that my service is one of a kind, and leaves a lasting impression that folks are soon not to forget. With over 15 years of high-end service industry experience combined 8 years since creating this art piece I believe I would be a wonderfully romantic, charming and whimsical addition to any event or wedding where I could construct poems for guests using stationery with a gentle stamp of the date and the event.
