thurs 12/11 So I think the last time I talked to you, I was in a slump, one of my lows… well I'm out of it haha, today was a great day.. well sorta. As you know, Gerry's leaving for sabbatical next semester and this semester is almost over… I'm only gonna see him two more days. So, for the few days I have left I'll guess I'll just recount what happened today (and from a little bit from yesterday)
-started the day getting here at 8 in the morning which was very rough (went to bed at 2 yesterday). I was pretty much a zombie, so I took a nap on Ben's couch thing for 2 hours, and after that I was completely enlivened. I was back on my game. Gerry soon showed up, and he had on his sweatshirt/jacket on. So, of course I pointed it out in excitement, and he smiled at that, very genuinely.
Fuck it, I'm not gonna go through the day in order, I'm just gonna tell you what I remember. There's always too much to remember. I don't know why you think you can remember all of it. Although I wish I could.
-Gerry talking to Lauren 'you're here so often, you even make Jordan look bad'. I put on my faux insulted face, cuz clearly he was looking for a reaction and said, 'impossible', and he actually agreed with me this time. He said 'ur right. it is impossible. You're here everyday'… He's starting to get sentimental these past few days even though he won't admit it, and of course I've been getting sentimental too.
-we talked about the slaps again, I said to him 'don't you dare slap me' jokingly, because I wasn't painting when he walked in. He laughed and said 'I can't, there are witnesses'
