Handling Conflict and Stress at Work

The word conflict says a lot to us. Conflict is something which arises as a result of difference in ideas, thinking, values, perception, and personalities and the like.

Conflict at the job place is a type of phenomenon as well as most of us now you ask when there is a conflict, should we have it or get away from it? The easiest thing we can do runs faraway from problems if you have one. But this will not solve our problems and it will aggravate further problems.

For several years, I had a notion than you must avoid conflict but in reality should you avoid conflict, still the issue is unresolved which can further increase stress levels at the office and at home.

Stress in the office can impact your personal life at the same time, leading to poor cognition and thinking, over-eating, obesity, poor mental and physical health problems etc.

So, if you are not avoiding stress, what should perform could be the question?

There are people who would like fighting back rather than avoiding conflict and when you might be fighting, you are exerting more energy and when your attacker has more power over you, you could wind up over stressed and burn out.

So, ideas recognize that, neither avoidance nor fighting back will solve our problem. And so the option would be to locate a common ground. A win/win situation for both parties.

And to go to a win/win situation, one should be Assertive at communication and possess the skill in doing effective dialogue to resolve differences and negotiate a collaborative solution.

When you effectively negotiate, you need to make sure that, you be considered a giver also as a taker. You cannot be just contemplating you alone, you'll want to consider the other party also and negotiate a typical ground without an excessive amount of compromises.

Understand that why not try these out should be considered a good listener as well as a giver as opposed to a mere taker.

There are 5 different styles people practice when it comes to conflict management, first is the Turtles, these individuals go ahead hiding if you find a conflict i.e. total avoidance.

Then there is certainly sharks, who attack the opponent should there be conflicting views and ideas. The third the first is Teddy Bear, they will value relationships very much than the outcome and so, will give through to cause real progress for being friendly.

The forth type is compromising fox, who'd compromise without any party benefiting.

And last type could be the one everyone should desire to be, that could be the owl, who does collaborate. Owls perform win/win agreement with all the opponent.

So, collaborate online websites!
