"รถยนต์หาย" เป็นเรื่องที่ผู้ใดกันก็ไม่ต้องการให้เกิดขึ้นกับตัวเอง ยิ่งถ้าเกิดเป็นรถยี่ห้อดังที่ได้รับความนิยมแล้วล่ะก็ จังหวะหายยิ่งเพิ่มทวีคูณ แม้กระนั้นแม้วันหนึ่งเกิดโชคร้ายรถหายขึ้นมาจริงๆแถมรถยนต์ก็ยังติดไฟแนนซ์อยู่ แบบงี้ผู้ครอบครองรถจำเป็นจะต้องผ่อนต่อหรือไม่?
รถหายจำเป็นต้องทำอะไรบ้าง?
1. แจ้งสายด่วน 1192 ศูนย์ทำลายล้างการขโมย รถยนต์ มอเตอร์ไซค์ สำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติ (ศปจร.ตร.) จะมี SMS แจ้งไปยังจุดสกัดจับทั่วทั้งประเทศข้างใน 2 นาที
2. แจ้งความลงบันทึกประจำวันเก็บเพื่อเป็นหลักฐานสำหรับการขอรับค่าสินไหมทดแทนกรณีรถหายกับบริษัทประกันภัยต่อไป
ถ้าหากรถติดไฟแนนซ์ยังจะต้องผ่อนต่อไหม?
กรณีมีประกันภัยรถยนต์หาย
ถ้าเกิดมีการทำประกันภัยครอบคลุมกรณีรถหายไว้ บริษัทประกันจะชำระเงินทุกรับรองให้กับทางไฟแนนซ์ แม้เงินทุนรับรองมากกว่าค่างวดคงเหลืออยู่ บริษัทประกันจะคืนส่วนต่างให้กับเจ้าของรถยนต์ แต่หากเงินทุกรับรองน้อยกว่าค่าผ่อนส่งคงเหลือ ผู้ครอบครองรถอาจต้องจ่ายส่วนต่างที่เหลือให้กับไฟแนนซ์ด้วยตัวเอง ที่สามารถขอพูดจาไกล่เกลี่ยกับไฟแนนซ์ได้
กรณีไม่มีประกันรถหาย
ถ้ารถยนต์ไม่ได้ทำประกัน หรือประกันที่ทำไม่ครอบคลุมกรณีรถหาย แต่ในทางข้อบังคับเจ้าของรถมีสิทธิหยุดชำระค่าผ่อนส่ง ให้แจ้งเรื่องไปยังไฟแนนซ์อย่างรวดเร็วที่สุด โดยไฟแนนซ์จะดำเนินงานฟ้องศาลต่อศาลโดยชอบด้วยกฎหมายเพื่อให้ศาลเป็นผู้ไกล่เกลี่ย และวินิจฉัยให้จ่ายเงินงวดส่วนที่เหลือตามความเหมาะสมขึ้นอยู่กับดุลยพินิจของศาล
รถหายเนื่องจากประมาท รับรองไม่จ่าย!
ใช่ว่ารับรองจะครอบคลุมรถยนต์หายทุกกรณีเสมอไป เพราะว่าถ้าเกิดลงจากรถยนต์โดยทิ่มกุญแจทิ้งไว้ อาจถือเป็นการกระทำอันประมาทเลินเล่อ ส่งผลให้บริษัทประกันมีสิทธิ์ไม่จ่ายค่าสินไหมทดแทนได้ ซึ่งกรณีดังกล่าวข้างต้นนี้เคยเกิดขึ้นจริงมาแล้ว
ด้วยเหตุนั้น ถ้าเกิดรถยนต์ยังคงผ่อนกับทางไฟแนนซ์อยู่ ก็ควรเลือกทำสัญญาประกันภัยป้องกันในกรณีรถยนต์หายไว้ด้วย จะช่วยเพิ่มความอุ่นใจ ไม่ต้องมารับไม่ถูกชอบเงินก้อนโตในภายหลังนั่นเอง
