According to the Nielsen Remote Worker Consumer Survey, 25% of adults in the last three months added a streaming video service and 2% of all adults have reduced the number of paid subscription services. In the first months of the pandemic, two new streaming services, Quibi and HBO Max, were launched, providing more video content.

In 2019, Android users accounted for more than 45% of the Ott Content stream audience while 39% of users used the web to access the content. The record for most concurrent users of an OTT event was set by Disney + on India's video streaming platform Hotstar with 18.6 million.



Popular OTT providers include Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Hulu. With OTT, many OTT players such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hotstar and others have increased viewer numbers on their platforms.
