6 Problems with Unlimited Luxury Watches

The problem is that 'unlimited' doesn't really mean unlimited. That's right - it's a scam, and I'm going to explain why…

<img width="482" src="cheap luxury watches" />

If you don't know what Unlimited Watches are, think about them as an online shop where you can send photos of your luxury watch collection (or just random pictures from Google), they will duplicate it on a replacement ceramic watch movement and give it to you for free. They say they do all the work themselves so there won't be any copyright problems or anything like that and you can wear an unlimited number of duplicate watches.

These watches are made from ceramic (they also offer titanium and gold), while the watch case and buckle might be from stainless steel or gold, they will cost you anywhere from $25 to over $500 because…well…if it's free then why not make some money on each one right? Also, if you notice carefully there are no prices for the 'replica' luxury watches listed on their website which is a little suspicious - but since they claim that they're selling replicas that shouldn't matter anyway. The author also claims that with this business model he can have a sale in literally any country without even opening a shop in those countries - just send them pictures and get your free watch.

This is really just a nice way of saying that you can't return the watches and they have no real warranty. You might say, but 'it's free' - well then why not offer this online service for $5 instead of making me pay over $50? Some people are calling it Free + Shipping , which doesn't make that much sense either because to be fair you're still paying for shipping ($25 from China) so why don't we just settle on $10 per watch? Otherwise I'm not entirely sure what the catch is here. So let us assume these watches cost $3 to make (forget about their retail price for now), how much would you need to sell each one at to break even?

There are 6 problems with Unlimited Watches:

#1 - Revenue Problem

The main problem is that without an idea about the price per watch they'll never be able to sell any. Sure, you could just slap a random number on your free watches and let people buy them one by one but I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume customers will simply think you're insane if you ask $100 for a free ceramic watch. Imagine what would happen if there were 10 million of these available (with no real warranty) for only $25 each? Amazon sellers sell electronics for half of that price so it's hard to see how these bangle watches can compete when it comes to pricing.

#2 - Financial Risk

The second big problem with Unlimited Watches is that there are no details available on how they're paying for these watches in the first place. Does one of their 'Unlimited' customers pony up $50, $100 or more out of his own pocket every time an order is placed? Do a bunch of people chip together and get them manufactured? How do they plan to scale this business model when it's next to impossible to make money selling something that doesn't cost anything to produce? Perhaps they already have some sort of group buying power but if so where are their numbers because without any solid sales data (or profits) you would never know [INFECTION LINK] whether or not this really is an unlimited business opportunity or just yet another pyramid scheme.

#3 - The Competition Problem

Unlimited Watches say that they're selling replicas but since they don't reveal any details about these watches to their customers who can you turn to for customer service? How much would I pay for a replica watch if it's made by some random person in Shanghai China and the only warranty is a simple 30 day money back guarantee? And what happens when my replacement watch arrives with all kinds of quality issues? Hopefully the guy that makes them will answer his own emails at that point…and how do you even get in contact with him not knowing anything about him, his company or his workers in the first place?

#4 - The Partnership Problem

Unlimited Watches says that they're selling replicas but how do you know the person that helped design these watches is even still with this company? How about luxury watch brands , who's supplying them all the watches? And if you somehow found out who designed them (like I did) would you even trust someone running a business on Alibaba to fulfill your order in the first place? You can't buy luxury brands from there for a reason and really anyone that wants to sell replica watches should be willing to back it up with a picture of their production line.

Understandably people will accuse me of promoting the very same businesses that I previously warned everyone against – which is true and I admit it. However, I'm not willing to promote a business that's offering free crap and has no real business model in place. The reason why I personally steer clear of Alibaba is because you have absolutely no idea who you're even dealing with – especially when it comes to replica products and the likely hood of getting scammed on your order is almost 100%.

#5 - The Kickstarter Problem

Unlimited Watches are saying that they're selling replicas but how do we know that this isn't just another clone watch website like Kickstarter or Crowd Supply? These companies say one thing but then deliver something completely different (fake watches) and neither company offers any kind of warranty period from what I've seen anyway so it doesn't matter if they're selling replicas or not. In fact, it's best just to avoid these types of websites altogether because you'll never know whether or not they can deliver on their promises in the first place.

#6 - The Jewelry Question

Unlimited Watches says that they're selling replicas but how do we really know that these aren't some sort of necklace? Sure the pics might look like watches but what if this company is really just a replica jewelry dealer trying to get people interested in fake Rolex and Cartier products for $25 bucks each – which are impossible to counterfeit at this price point anyway? I'd rather wait until someone actually provides hard evidence that these are indeed replicas so my only suggestion is just wait and see.

So should we buy Unlimited Luxury Watches ? If I were you then no, not yet. It's much better to wait and see if this company can really deliver on their promises before a single dime is spent or any further time is invested into their business. However, it seems that Unlimited Watches are trying to make a few bucks while they're young in the replica industry by throwing out some cheap watches and selling them for pennies on the dollar; which is fine but at $25 per watch how many people will really want one anyway?

Besides, what kind of company runs an ad campaign about luxury products without even showcasing pictures of their own fake luxuries? Wouldn't you do this the same way that Apple advertises its iPhones with comparison pictures?

Just so people know, I've received a few emails from other replica dealers that are very upset with me for pointing out the warning signs of fraud. Because they're so quick to talk about this subject when it's convenient to them (i.e: earn a sale) but when it starts biting into their profits now they want to act like nothing ever happened and pretend as though everything will be just fine anyway. But seeing how these companies have been ranking high in Google searches over the past few years you can't even trust them anymore because their business practices don't serve the consumer at all – especially if you see any warning signs along the way which lead off in another direction entirely.
