Landscaping - The Difference Between Shrubs and Trees

Trees and shrubs are a wonderful addition to any landscape, instantly transforming dull patches of land into desirable green spaces. Besides the aesthetic values they impart, planting woods really are a wise environmental and economical move. But despite their attractiveness, trees do have several drawbacks. For one, trees may be notoriously slow growers. It can take several years to allow them to reach an important height, flower, or bear fruit. Their added stature also ensures they are excellent targets for high winds, lightening, and also other environmental hazards. Lastly, trees need regular maintenance including annual spraying and pruning. Shrubs however grow quickly, and require nothing but a periodic, easy-to-reach trim. At the end of the morning, many landscapers elect to combine shrubs and trees in their designs.
