Smart Glasses - More Than Just Making You Look Cool

Google recently acquired Zulily and Focal, both of which have highly tech-savvy employees. Both companies have produced very unique wearables as well as tech products that are great for Google's goals in the mobile market. In this article, I will discuss what these acquisitions mean for Google and their future plans.

Zulily: Zulily offers on-demand social media marketing services. They have created a number of augmented reality apps that use your Facebook and Twitter connections to get you the information you want, right when it is needed. This is a very attractive aspect to Google Glass as it gives the consumer the ability to connect with their friends while also interacting with a third party service such as Google Maps or Yahoo! Answers.

Focal: Focal a technology company that produces powerful and complex image-display technology. Smart Glasses is almost identical to Sony Ericsson’s phone camera. Smart glasses are not equipped with a camera. Instead, they have a front-facing image processing chip. This makes them look almost like real cameras. Focal has been working with Google on new solutions for augmented reality. They have already created an interactive TV experience using Google's new TV advertising platform.

Zulily and Focal have created eye tracking technology that is similar to the one used by Apple in their new iPhones and iPads. This allows you to not just see what's around you, but also to control the interface from your eyes like you would with an iPad or iPhone. You can use the focals with any camera to create videos and panoramic images. These have the disadvantage that you will not be able to use the technology, or even see the images and videos properly if your eyesight is poor.

Image stabilization They show a man trying click on a virtual keyboard with his finger. His fingers seem to pop out from the keyboard and the screen seems out of sync. This tech has been shown on the iPhones and iPads, so it's likely that it will also work well with smart glasses. The image of the man with his finger outstretched seems a lot more real than someone trying to use it with their eyes crossed. It remains to see if the device actually works.

Video recording. We've seen the concept video in which a woman records her child with a camera while wearing smart glasses. Now they've shown another person filming a video while using the same device. The demonstration makes it look like the glasses are acting as a screen, with the woman's hands acting as the camera's lens. Problem is that this technology requires that a person be trained to use the camera. The idea is still quite exciting. Imagine being able to capture video with just your eyes.

Clear seeing through: You've probably seen videos or pictures of augmented reality glasses before. These are simply lenses that are slightly transparent so that you can see things clearly when they're in front of you. It might not be very practical for drivers to wear these all the time, since most people probably would rather have their vision clear than having a tech like this in their face. For that reason, these holographic solutions could end up more of a concept than a real product. These smart glasses are the only device that offers clear vision and is currently available.

There are also medical treatments that could be used. These are most commonly used in rehabilitation settings, rather than for those who have vision problems. This is due to the fact that these types of technology are less likely help with vision impairments or eye injuries. https://wanelo.co/bestreviewstips Still, it's possible that they can be adapted to help those who do need the aid. This is an interesting area and smart glasses will only get better.
