Namun siapa sangka, di balik sisi negatifnya, tikus justru bisa membawa berkah dan cuan bagi petani asal Timur Laut Thailand. Petani tersebut diketahui bernama Chalermphon Saothong.
Melansir dari Naewna, pria tersebut sengaja beternak tikus untuk dijadikan makanan yang dikonsumsi. Harga 1 kilogram (kg) tikus segar bisa mencapai 150 baht (Rp67 ribu) sedangkan 1 kilogram tikus mati mencapai 250 bath (Rp113 ribu).
Chalermphon mampu mendulang cuan fantastis dari usaha peternakan hewan tersebut. Bahkan permintaan tikus dalam sebulan bisa mencapai 300 kg dengan keuntungan mencapai Rp34 juta.
