KLASIFIKASI ILMIAH
Klasifikasi Ilmiah ini bertujuan untuk mengelompokkan makhluk hidup berdasarkan spesiesnya.
Urutan Klasifikasi Ilmiah dari yang Terendah sampai Tertinggi:
- Species
- Genus
- Family
- Order
- Class
- Phylum
- Kingdom
- Domain
- Life
Tetapi biasanya kita hanya menuliskan dari Spesies sampai ke Kingdm/Kerajaan saja.
Kingdom sendiri dibagi menjadi 6 Kingdom, yaitu Eubacteria, Archaebacteria, Protista, Fungi/Jamur, Plantae/Tumbuhan, dan Animalia/Hewan.
Nah, sering mendengar tentang nama latin? Nama latin itu sendiri terbentuk dari Genus dan Spesies dari makhluk itu.
Penulisan nama latin disebut juga dengan Penulisan Tatanama Binomial.
Penulisan nama latin:
[Nama Latin = Genus(Kapital) + Spesies (kecil)]
Tapi jika ada nama penemu maka :
[Nama Latin = Genus(Kapital) + Spesies (kecil) + Nama penemu(Kapital)]
Penulisan nama latin yang benar juga, seharusnya "dicetak miring" atau "digarisbawah".
Contoh : Amaranthus retroflexus L.
Maka : Amaranthus = Genus, retroflexus = spesies, L = singkatan nama penemu (Linnaeus)
Atau misal, Nepenthes sp L.
Jadi, Nepenthes = Genus, sp = singkatan dari spesies, L = nama penemu.
Kalau kalian menemukan nama latin dengan kata "sp" itu berarti setiap spesies memilik nama latin yang berbeda-beda.
Atau ada juga "subsp" itu berarti subspesies yang biasanya belum teridentifikasi.
Ada juga "cf" artinya confer, nah ini dipakai jika penamaan belum jelas atau belum pasti.
Contoh : Corvus cf. splendens berarti "sejenis burung mirip dengan gagak (Corvus splendens) tapi belum dipastikan sama dengan spesies ini.
