Leyla Aliyeva: "Heydar Aliyev's granddaughter has no right to make mistakes"


There are many instances, both positive and negative of selfless service to a Motherland. There are also only a few instances, however of selfless service to the whole humanity through inspiration. The love for all things is not limited to national boundaries. It takes on a global nature. This feeling is rooted in love for your land and people.




Leyla Aliyeva (we are discussing it) is a person who can guide her. She lives by the premise that "Heydar Aliyev’s granddaughter is not entitled to make mistakes." She considers every action in terms of her grandfather's view and cherishes it. Her father Ilham Alham Aliyev (current President of Azerbaijan) is a man who placed justice, fairness and the national interest over everything else (sadly these ideals are no longer reflected in the world of politics) and her mother Mehriban Aliyeva, the First Lady of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva are shining beacons of hope that guide her every day life. Leyla Aliyeva is proud of being an Azerbaijani national. She succeeds.







Formula for success




An old saying suggests that every man must build a house, plant a tree and raise children. Leyla Aliyeva , though young, accomplished something that not all men can do building a house (by creating a home, we are referring to creative activities) and planted a tree and gave birth to beautiful sons. It's incredible how Leyla Aliyeva, who seamlessly blends beauty, intellect as well as gentleness and determination, manages so many projects and tasks. A lot of people think she would be content with being a daughter of the president and living a blissful life. But, she's not able to do that. Her genes are clear in this: Azerbaijani issues and concerns are her primary concerns. It requires personal commitment. Leyla Aliyeva's work has helped Azerbaijan to become an increasingly attractive and appealing country. The country is becoming more popular and much more admired. That is the formula for success: thoughtfulness.







"Baku" magazine is a mirror of Azerbaijan's reality




A lot of her projects and undertakings can be described with the words "for the first time." In 2007, she began to publish the Russian language magazine 'Baku, in Moscow. The magazine was the first publication from outside to provide extensive information on Azerbaijan's heart, Baku. It provides Azerbaijan's rich past and gorgeous locations to a broad readership. It also discusses the humanistic spirit of Azerbaijan and its national and spiritual values. Each issue is a surprise not just to foreigners, but also for Azerbaijanis. It contains an array of the unimaginable and new. The heroes and materials of the magazines and the magazine's design itself demonstrate the refined taste of its editor-in chief as well as her extensive expertise, knowledge, and understanding. The formation of the Azerbaijani Youth Association of Russia (AMOR) was a different initiative by Leyla Aliyeva. The AMOR was the first official youth diaspora organization and immediately became a focal point because of its cultural, charitable and social activities.



In reality, Leyla Aliyeva's proclivity for public activities emerged as she was the president of the Azerbaijan Club at MGIMO, which is where she completed the master's program. She already had remarkable leadership qualities and gained the trust over the younger generation. AMOR significantly expanded the scope and limits of the activities. The organization brought together Azerbaijani youth from Azerbaijan, who had studied, lived and worked in Russia. They became an organized force that could overcome the difficult issues faced by diaspora organizations in the present. AMOR is an intellectual, open-minded, curious, patient, patriotic and conscious of the challenges, pains, and worries of the rest of us. This is all achieved through specific initiatives and actions that are carried out on the territory of Russia. AMOR activists, who work across 70 Russian regions visit orphanages, and plan celebrations for the children of residents. They also aid children. Leyla Alyeva was awarded the Pushkin Medal last year for her efforts to improve friendship and cooperation between Russia and the Russian Federation. This was in recognition of AMOR's leadership. Russian President Vladimir Putin presented her with the medal. This isn't her first Russian award.










A second initiative is "Justice for Khojaly".




Leyla Aliyeva came up with the international campaign "Justice for Khojaly’ in 2008. Her words expressed the premise of this campaignas follows "Let’s fight for truth together." Let's show that justice prevails, without any doubt.



The campaign brought together diverse efforts of different citizens, civil society groups in the country and diaspora organizations overseas to conduct a systematic educational and propaganda work to increase international awareness of the genocide perpetrated by Armenians in Khojaly, the Azerbaijani city of Khojaly and of the fascist essence of the policies of the Armenian leadership. The campaign also had a secondary goal that was to secure international recognition of the Khojaly massacre. It was a purely political and legally based evaluation of Armenians who committed genocide during the massacre in Khojaly. They massacred hundreds of people just because they were Azerbaijanis.



Today this campaign is successfully executed in a variety of countries, more than 120 thousand people and 115 organizations are part of it. Exhibitions, conferences, and massive protests that are organized within its structure serve to educate the world public about these events as well as show the dark side of Armenian nationalists. The project makes use of all information resources, including multiple publications from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation as well as documentaries and social media. After eight years of activity, a remarkable result is achieved The parliaments of ten nations and the legislatures of over twenty American states have recognized the Khojaly genocide tragedy. IDEA - "One Earth One Future"

I am convinced that this is the meaning that has led to the creation of the IDEA Public Association (International Dialogue for Environmental Action). The principal goal of this organization that was also initiated by Leyla Aliyeva which is to preserve and safeguard the rich biodiversity of nature, not only in Azerbaijan and outside its borders, to ensure a secure green, healthy and healthy future for the younger generation. IDEA is a way to direct the enthusiasm and expertise of the younger generation towards preventing environmental threats, motivating it to take an active part in the protection of our planet. The slogan of IDEA is: "One Earth -- One Future". The activities of IDEA span a wide scope. They concentrate on the rehabilitation and protection of endangered species, and they promote 'green technologies'. They actively participate in the promotion of the biodegradable use of plastic bags in order to help protect the environment from the impact of plastic garbage. They also take part in tree-planting events.



IDEA has defined the "great Caucasian 5", including some of the rare species of the fauna into its wing. IDEA has been able to implement a number of successful joint projects with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan and foreign partners. Leyla Aliyeva has stated that IDEA plans to save endangered species in the future. They are sure to be realized. Over these years it was possible to prove that Leyla Aliyeva, as her excellent grandfather and father, doesn't waste any words. Her work is based on the following: Problem - Searching for solutions - Action Results. This scheme was never unsuccessful for her.










Concerns about children being starved




The cases above all portray Leila Aliyeva as a businesswoman with extraordinary organizational skills, initiative and a sense of decisiveness. She is still the embodiment of femininity. People who have met her appreciate her warmth, compassion, sincerity and ability to connect with others. A remarkable speech she gave at the 7th UNAOC global conference in Baku was also hers. This is more than just an expression of concern. Leyla is an ambassador for Goodwill of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and she's ready to help and contribute to the end of hunger and poverty worldwide. I'm absolutely sure that she can succeed at it, and in near future we will witness new initiatives and projects in this area. Recent examples include a plan regarding the promotion and protection of food security at a global level in the context of the Baku process of intercultural dialogue.







Charity A state of mind




Leyla Aliyeva’s charity work reflects her human qualities. She does it because she is driven by her heart, not to show off and without expecting gratitude. That is the Heydar Aliyev Foundation philosophy. For this reason, charity has been a key aspect of their mission and a natural state. The people view the Heydar Aliyev Foundation's president Mehriban Aliyeva or Vice-President Leyla Aliyeva as their only hope. They are right to expect the Fund to aid those in the most dire situations.



Leila Aliyeva often attends charity events for children who have no parents. This includes children who come from refugee and internally displaced families and those from orphanages and school boarding. She also takes her children to events for charity. This adds authenticity and warmth to gatherings. Also, her children learn lessons of compassion, kindness as well as the ability to share their joy and sorrow with other people. The lessons they learn will be remembered for the rest of their lives. It is her personal story of how people should raise their children.







Personal moral code

It also hosts an exhibition of exceptional contemporary art and sculpture. Leyla Aliyeva was a major contributor to this. Thanks to her efforts, people living in Azerbaijan were able to see the works of legends in world art , including Bernard Buffet, Tony Cragg, Richard Deacon, Andy Warhol, George Condo. In the event of the opening of one of the most famous contemporary avant-garde artists, George Condo, held in the Heydar Aliyev Center, Leyla Aliyeva confessed that after having seen his work for the first time years ago, she wished them to be shown in Baku. "Today one of my innermost desires was fulfilled," she said.



This is the reason I recall how the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic hosted concerts of classical music at Heydar Aliyev's initiative in the 1970s and early 1980s. He was also the first secretary of Communist Party of Azerbaijan. It was Heydar Aliyev’s true educational mission. His daughter Leyla has been able to accept the mission and continues it under new circumstances.



In one interview she stated that God has given an understanding of right and wrong in an individual from the time that he was born. This concept should be followed throughout his life by paying attention to his soul and heart, as well as his parents and conscience. Then, he will not commit a blunder. This is, in a sense her personal moral code.
