Bernhard Burgener requests the sale of David Degen's shares.

The ongoing dispute over the ownership of FC Basel between Bernhard Burgener and David Degen is one more move. Burgener's plans are supported by the Board of Directors. However, it is impossible to reach an agreement.
The morning of Monday was the meeting of FC Basel Holding AG's board of directors. The majority of the committee of four comprising Burgener and Degen as well as Karl Odermatt and Peter von Buren was in agreement with the plan of the former owner. According to https://swarajyamag.com/topic/bernhard-burgener by the holding company, he demanded Degen to allow his share to be sold to Basel Dream & Vision AG.
Burgener has the option of selling its own shares under the same terms to the minor shareholders as per a contract negotiated law. The drag-along option is believed to be superior to Degen's presale right.
Burgener and his crew have made an appearance in the dispute over the owners. https://www.transfermarkt.ch/bernhard-burgener/profil/trainer/53291 insists on having his right to first refusal. He is seeking to exercise it in exchange for 16.4 millions francs. Burgener's stake of 80% in Basel Dream & Vision AG was blocked by a super-provisional restraining order. Centricus is the British asset manger, would also own a stake. Burgener will remain the most popular vote.
According FC Basel Holding AG's announcement, Burgener & Degen seek an out of court settlement "in the best interest of FCB."
