Vein= Towards
Artery= Away

The most amazing organ in your body, the human heart.
The heart and the core is a pump.
This pump is why we call it the hardest working part of our body because it starts to pump blood in your fetus about 8 weeks old until you die.

In the middle of our chest, the heart is located.
Blood is going to come from the both arms and head to come together to one big vein on top of the heart. Blood is also going to come from the two legs and other veins in the stomache to one big vien that is attached to the bottom of the heart.

After the blood is pumped to the heart from the veins it then goes away from the heart to resend it to the whole body with the arteries. It is pumped with the aerota arch.

blood flowing from both sections go into the right atrium. From the top the superior vena cava and the bottom the inferior vena cava. After the blood flows through there it goes in to a valve. This first valve that the blood flows thew is the tricuspid valve. The reason its called this is because of the three flaps it has. The reason blood flows threw a valve is so the blood could keep flowing the right direction. After the blood passes threw the valve it then leads its to the right ventricle. The blood then flows to yet another valve, which is the pulmonary valve. Pulmonaries are the right and left lungs. Its called this because this is the valve the blood enters before going into the pulmonary artery both right and left. The blood that enters into the lungs in blue. Its blue because the blood cells that enter the lungs lack oxygen. These blue blood cells are filled with carbon dioxcide. They go into the lungs to grab some oxygen and leave again. In the lungs you get rid of CO2 and pick up oxygen for your blood cells. the blood cells turn to blue to red because it now contains O2. After it has obtained its oxygen, the flows to the left atrium and then goes threw the left ventricle. It then passes threw another valve. This valve is called the Mitral Valve and goes in to yet another valve which is the Aortic Valve. After that it then reaches its final destination in the heart which is the Aorta. This is how blood flows through the heart. It went threw 4 total chambers inside your heart. The first chamber is Right Atrium the second one is the Right Ventricle, the third one is the left atrium, and the fourth and final chamber is the Left ventricle.
