What is Aura Photography

Kirlian photography, also known as Aura Photography, is the art of capturing Aura Enegy or Kirlian Effect. The Kirlian photographic process reveals visible “auras” around the Human Body photographed and it shows the auras of people.

Your aura is thought to be a luminous body that surrounds your physical one surrounds your body in a net of energy. An aura or human energy field said to enclose a human body. Auras are the invisible energy fields that surround all living things.

When was aura photography discorvered or invented

Discovery of Kirlian Photography – The origins of Aura photography.

Kirlian Photography has a long and interesting history that kicked off in 1939.

Semyon and Valentina Kirlian (the practice was named after them) accidentally discovered the process while witnessing the use of a high voltage source and a contact print process. They were visiting a hospital in Krasnodar, Russia, where Semyon used his expertise in electrical engineering to fix lab equipment.

While there, he watched a presentation where a patient received treatment via a high-frequency electrical generator. The treatment required the patient to be placed on a photographic plate and subjected to strong electric fields.

A little like a simple X-ray, an image formed on the surface of the photographic plate.

What ‘sparked’ Semyon Kirlian‘s interest was the tiny flash of bright light that appeared between the patient’s skin and the machine’s electrodes.

The appearance of an apparent aura, or life force, fascinated Semyon Kirlian so much that Semyon Kirlian decided to conduct his own experiments and capture photographs of its effects. Semyon Kirlian was intent on photographing what he believed to be visible auras forming around the subject.

Being an electrician, he replicated the process at home and successfully captured images of his hand with an aural discharge around his hand.

It was this experiment and outcome that associated Kirlian Photography with the practice of photographing auras.

While this experiment took place in 1939, the results were not made public until 1958.

Over the next ten years, Semyon and his wife developed a machine for Kirlian photography. This machine was using a high-frequency oscillator or spark generator that operated at roughly 75 kHz.

This machine became popular among professional scientists at the time because Kirlian claimed that the images produced by this machine captured the aura of living entities. Semyon and his wife made many photographs of the leaves of various plants via this process.

They believed that this type of photography could detect plant diseases that weren’t otherwise detectable. This claim also led to unsupported assertions that Kirlian phenomenon could provide an insight into a person’s physical health.

Widespread recognition – By the early 1960s, Kirlian photography attained widespread recognition – everyone was reading about it in newspapers and magazines. The Kirlians got a pension and a well-equipped laboratory. In 1961, the first scientific paper on Kirlian photography was published, and many institutions around the Soviet Union wanted to collaborate with Semyon Davidovitch Kirlian.

The popularity of his invention was unstoppable – an educational film about Kirlian photography was shown in American elementary schools in 1964 and become a well-known phenomenon to the general public until 1970.

Kirlian Aura photography beliefs.

After Semyon and Valentina Kirlian developed their technique, they promoted it as a diagnostic tool and claimed that the images produced by their electrographs showed the aura, life force or emotional state of the subject. Mainstream medicine does not recognise Kirlian photography as a diagnostic tool.

Because of Introduction To Aura photography, When was Aura photography Discovered, Aura photography first Invented, Aura photography in Mumbai, Aura photography India , these aura-like images later became known as Kirlian photography.
