Book Donation Drop Boxes - Does Location Matter?
One of the great things about the Internet is that there are many choices when it comes to donating things to charity. Charities can be in the form of churches, schools, and other organizations. However, if you want to do your part in helping out, a great place to go is a donation drop off box near you. You can find these drop-off boxes online or at your local donation center. There are many options for where to donate clothing, old furniture, office supplies, and other goods. So, if agency looking for a way to donate your unwanted items, this is a great place to start.

One of the most popular places to donate these days is the Salvation Army. They have their donation drop-off locations in every state. If you're looking for a location near you, simply go to their website and you'll find a map. Once you're on the map, you can search for the location nearest to you. While they accept most major credit cards and major checks, the priority list is for smaller items like toilet paper, blankets, and clothing.

Fort Worth is another good choice for a donation bin in your neighborhood. There are agency located at intersections in Fort Worth, you can either choose to go to the main donation location on Eastpark Avenue or on Holman Road. Both locations have a variety of donation choices including blankets, canned and other non-perishables, fruits, fresh vegetables, gently used clothes, and furniture. The address is main street, just look for the logo on the website.

Another place that has a variety of donation choices is the Northside Mobile Home Park. They offer two types of donation choices: the bread and beans and the pet container. When donating these items, be sure to visit the donation container before leaving the location. You can also donate books and textbooks that you can't use at school. This is a great place for you to make extra money and help the park maintain their funding by getting rid of old books. Be sure to visit the mobile home park as often as possible during the year and you never know when you might run into someone who needs a ride to go to the grocery store.

Finally, for those of you who live close to me, a little bit of fun is donated books. I have several friends that drive several miles to the library in order to pick up a new or used book. This makes driving much safer and allows me to keep my neighbors happy. The Northside mobile home park doesn't have a book donation drop box near me, but it does have a collection of donated books for you to choose from.

I also donate books to various book clubs that I belong to. These groups would be a great help if you were looking to sell your own books on eBay or another online marketplace. If agency have something like this available, why not let others know that you have it available so that they will be more likely to want to purchase from you? You can easily place the book bins in many locations around your home. There are agency need to be aware of though.

First, I don't think there is a strong enough correlation coefficient between certain factors and the probability that something will be donated versus the likelihood that someone will trash it. It seems like more of an emotional event and people tend to give more to people that they like the person more. Second, the fact that these book bins are placed out of my view does affect the results somewhat. It could be that people are less likely to give to me if they aren't able to see the donation drop box near me. I should look into improving this correlation coefficient.

These are just some of the factors that I considered when putting these book bins near my home for donations. The results of my experiment confirmed my suspicions that placing these book donation drop boxes near my home does indeed increase the odds of my donation jar being filled. It makes perfect sense to me and I hope that other people who would like to donate their old books to the needy are as convinced as I am that this method increases the odds significantly.
