What is the story behind how Roundup Ready or Roundup get their names?

Roundup: Who was the person to invent it?
John Franz (Monsanto Chemist) first identified Glyphosate as a herbicide in Roundup. The majority of herbicides used in the agricultural industry were pre-emergent.
