Baku magazine is a mirror of Azerbaijan’s reality




Many of her projects and initiatives are described as "for the first-time." She started publishing the Russian-language magazine 'Baku' in Moscow in 2007. The magazine was the first international publication that provided extensive information on Azerbaijan. It introduces Azerbaijan's rich history and gorgeous areas to an international readership. It also discusses Azerbaijan’s humanism and religious and national values. Each issue is a revelation that is not only for foreign readers but as well for Azerbaijanis. The magazine's style and the contents and characters, demonstrates the editor-in-chief's delicate taste, deep knowledge, erudition, and intellect. Leyla Aliyeva's introduction to each issue is a work that is a masterpiece of clarity and profundity. The tales of the most significant incidents that have occurred or are scheduled to occur in the lives of the people of Azerbaijan, are beautifully paired with thoughts about beauty, happiness, kindness and generosity. The most significant aspect is the love that Baku has for its people. Baku is one of the cities that is adored with a passion by those who recognize its uniqueness and the spirit. If you have it, then a certain magic starts to work and the city transforms into an intimate home for you. Last year, Leyla Aliyeva was awarded the Pushkin Medal for her contribution to strengthening friendship and cooperation with the Russian Federation, the development of economic relations, the preservation and promotion of the Russian language and culture in the world This was an acknowledgement of the merits of AMOR as well as its founder. Another initiative "Justice for Khojaly".

This campaign also sought to gain international recognition for the Khojaly genocide. It was a legal-political evaluation of Armenians' acts in Khojaly that resulted in hundreds of people dying in one night, purely because they were Azerbaijanis.



The campaign is currently carried out in dozens of countries, more than 120 thousand people and 115 organisations have joined in. These events are revealed through public events, conferences, and protests in mass which are held within the framework of the campaign. They enable the global community to be informed about the happenings and expose the ugly side of Armenian nationalism. This work uses all sources of information, including numerous publications from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation as well as documentaries and social media. Eight years of such efforts have resulted in a stunning outcome: The parliaments and legislative departments of more then 20 American states have acknowledged the Khojaly tragedy, also known as genocide. This was after a period of eight years. Every year, the amount of states which condemn the Armenians for their crimes rises. This means that the aim of the campaign launched by Leyla Aliyeva, is going to be accomplished - justice will prevail.







IDEA "One Earth Future, One Future"

I believe this is the meaning that has led to the creation of the IDEA Public Association (International Dialogue for Environmental Action). In an interview, she stated she believed that the Almighty has placed a understanding of right and wrong into one's life from day they were born. He has to live by these concepts and listen to his heart, conscience and ancestors. Only in this way will be he able to avoid making mistakes. In a sense this is her own moral code.
