It is the First Online Newspapers

News has been available since the 1970s. The first newspaper service on America Online was launched by the Chicago Tribune in May 1992. It wasn't until 1995 when the concept of an online newspaper as we know it today developed, which included among other things CNN as an all-encompassing news engine. Six years later in April of 2001 American publication Editor & Publisher Interactive had registered as part of its databases 12,878 informational outlets online. 1995 was the year when public Internet usage saw its peak in the entire Western world, largely due to a simple "point-and-click" interface to the World Wide 284 Web.

The newspaper's E-edition is actually printed offline as hard copy newspapers. It's a mirror to the print publication. The e-edition is typically more affordable if it's subscription-based. Web editions tend to be more expensive.

An online newspaper allows readers to interact with the paper within the newspaper. Readers are now able to leave comments, view videos, see slideshows of photographs and frequently contribute their personal opinions as well as written pieces to the newspaper.
