Leyla Aliyeva: "Heydar Aliyev's granddaughter has no right to make mistakes"


Many examples of selfless service have been documented throughout the history of mankind. There are only a handful of instances in which selfless service was rendered to the entire human race. This is mostly due to inspiration and a need within to follow the heart and do lifetasks. The love for all things transcends national boundaries and takes on an inclusive nature. It is normal that this feeling is based upon affection for your country and the people.




Leyla Aliyeva – we are referring to her – has an individual who can be an example to her. Her life is governed by the tenet, "Heydar Aliyev’s grandchild has no obligation or right to commit errors." She reflects on the deeds of her grandfather, whom she cherishes. Her father, Ilham Aliyev, who is the present President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev who placed justice fairness, fairness and national interests over anything elseis her role model. His example, along with the selfless philanthropy and selfless service of her mother Mehriban Aliyeva have been shining lights in her life. Leyla Aliyeva is a decent citizen of Azerbaijan and strives to be an active citizen in the rest of the world. This is a goal she accomplishes.







Success formula

These include the environment, youth policy and the promotion of Azerbaijan's national image in the world. The country's culture is also important. Leyla Aliyeva's efforts have helped create an attractive image for Azerbaijan which is earning more attention and a better standing in the international arena. That is the main ingredient to success: thoughtfulness and determination, unwavering and active involvement.







Baku' magazine is a mirror of Azerbaijan's reality




Many of her projects and initiatives can be described as "for the first time." She started publication of the Russian-language publication "Baku" in Moscow in 2007. In essence, it was the first foreign publication that offered a wealth of information on Azerbaijan and its core - the beautiful city of Baku, about the rich traditions and customs of the Azerbaijani people and the rich culture of Azerbaijan, its historic celebrities and their contemporary counterparts including poets, writers, artists, musicians, architects, those who honor their country across the globe through their talents, work and art and through the distinctive national cuisine and arts. It presents Azerbaijan's history and highlights the uniqueness of its multicultural environment. Every issue is a thrilling revelation for Azerbaijanis as well as foreign readers. The magazine's design as well as the content and heroes, shows the taste of the editor-in-chief's deep knowledge, erudition and intelligence. Leyla Aliyeva was the author of the introduction to every issue. It is remarkable for its philosophical depth, clarity, and ability to convey numerous ideas in just one sentence. Leyla Aliyeva also played a key role in the development of Azerbaijani Youth Association of Russia. The AMOR was the first structured youth diaspora group that gained attention instantly due to its charitable, social and cultural activities.



In reality, Leyla Aliyeva's proclivity for public involvement was apparent as she was the head of the Azerbaijan Club at MGIMO, which is where she completed the master's program. She had already shown exceptional leadership skills and was able to win over young people. Her unrestrained enthusiasm and bold new concepts were the result of her efforts. AMOR has greatly extended the scope and reach of these activities. AMOR was a group that brought together Azerbaijani youth who had lived, studied, and even worked in Russia. They were transformed into an organized force capable to solve the major problems that diaspora groups currently confront. AMOR's activities and efforts have created a new Azerbaijani youth profile. This is made possible by initiatives and actions that are carried out in Russia. The group has taken on several initiatives, such as the "Blood Has No Nation!" campaign. The activists of AMOR, which operates across 70 regions of Russia visit orphanages, arrange holidays for their children, help children. Schools and kindergartens are fitted with modern technology due to the organisation's initiative. Establish parks and recreational areas. AMOR aids Azerbaijani teens to become part of Russian society and to actively participate in the country's life and coordinates their efforts, which is aimed at promoting our nation. Also it addresses the critical challenges that President Ilham Aliyev placed on compatriotsgroups at the 4th Congress of World Azerbaijanis. AMOR is, as per many is the most active youth organization outside of Azerbaijan.



Leyla Alyeva was presented with the Pushkin Medal last year for her efforts to improve the relationship between Russia and the Russian Federation. This was to honor AMOR's leadership. The award was presented to her by Russian President Vladimir Putin. It's not the only Russian award.










Another project, "Justice for Khojaly"




Leyla Aliyeva came up with the international campaign 'Justice for KhojalyIn 2008, Leyla Aliyeva launched the campaign 'Justice for Kho. She said, "Let's work together to attain the truth." Let's ensure justice is upheld without doubt.



The campaign brought together diverse efforts of different citizens, civil society groups in the country, and diaspora organizations overseas to conduct a an extensive educational and propagandistic effort to increase international awareness of the genocide committed by Armenians in Khojaly in Azerbaijani city of Khojaly and of the fascist nature of the policy pursued by the Armenian leadership. Another aim of the campaign was to obtain international recognition of Khojaly Genocide. This included a political and legal assessment of Armenians who killed hundreds of people in one night because they were Azerbaijanis.



The campaign is currently in place in dozens countries. Over 120 000 people are involved and more than 115 organizations have joined. The events are publicized through public events, conferences, and massive protests that take place within the framework of the campaign. They allow the international community to know about the happenings and expose the dark side of Armenian nationalism. This work uses all information resources, including multiple publications of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation as well as documentaries as well as social media. After 8 years of this project, a remarkable outcome is achieved The parliaments of ten nations and the legislatures of over twenty American states have recognized the Khojaly tragedy of genocide. Each year, more states condemn the Armenians' crimes. It is clear that Leyla Aliyeva has accomplished her goal of justice prevails.







IDEA "One Earth, One Future"




In a book, I read: "Man is, of necessity an emperor and queen of nature. But you should not be viewed as an exploiter , but rather as one who is aware of the nature of it and is able to take the moral obligation to protect it and development. I believe that the IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action Public Association) was prompted by this concept. Leyla Aliyeva also founded the IDEA initiative. The principal goal of the project is to protect and preserve the diverse natural resources in Azerbaijan as well as beyond so that the future generations will live in safety, health, and sustainability. The goal of IDEA is to motivate young people to use their energy and knowledge to combat environmental dangers and encourage them to become active in protecting the planet. IDEA's motto is "One Earth -- one Future". The IDEA's work is truly extensive. They encompass the conservation and protection of endangered species populations, promotion of "green technologies" and waste management, the maintenance and restoration of forest belts, as well as the creation of vast areas of green spaces. The activists of this organization focus on the development of shelters for stray animals, they actively advocate for the recycling of biodegradable bags in order to reduce the environmental impact of plastic waste. They also carry out tree-planting events.



IDEA has identified the "great Caucasian 5", taking some of the rare species of the fauna into its wing. IDEA collaborated with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan and its international partners on a variety of projects that have been successful. Leyla Aliyeva stated that IDEA plans to save threatened species in the coming years. It is clear that these plans will come to realization. This has proven over the years that Leyla Aliyeva does not waste words, just as her grandfather and father before her. Her work is based on the same pattern: problem – searching for solutions – actions that are specific – tangible outcomes. She has never been disappointed by this scheme.










The issue of starving children




These are just an obvious sign of Leila Aliyeva being a businesswoman, an entrepreneur who has great organization skills and initiative. However, she remains the epitomization of femininity. Her openness, kindness, compassion and sincerity are all praised by people who have met her. Her recent speech during the 7th UNAOC Global Forum in Baku was also extraordinary. She expressed anxiety at the reality that "one person every four seconds dies due to hunger." "Children are afflicted by food insecurity and hunger more often than adult." Therefore, we must all work to ensure that no child in the world will die of hunger."



This is much more than an expression of sorrow. Leyla is a Goodwill Ambassador for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and she's ready to contribute and help in the ending of poverty and hunger across the globe. I'm absolutely sure that she will succeed in this, and in the coming days we'll witness new initiatives and specific initiatives in this field. For instance, she recently made a submission to promote global food security in the context of the Baku process for intercultural dialogue.







Charity is a state of mind




Leyla Aliyeva 's work for charity is a manifestation of her inherent human traits. She chooses to do it because that's what her soul wants not to be a show-off or expect gratitude. This is the Heydar Aliyev Foundation's ethos. It made charity the top priority and it was an inherent state. It is not surprising that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation has its President Mehriban Aliyeva and Vice-President Leyla Aliyeva being the last hope. Their expectations are justified because the Fund will always be there to aid even in the most difficult situations.



Leila Aliyeva can be present at events that benefit children that aren't parents. These children come from families of refugees, internally displaced persons, orphanages, and schools that boarding. Another important point is that she is always present to these events with her children, which brings warmth and genuineness to these gatherings. Children learn kindness, empathy, and how to share their joy and sorrow with others. They will be grateful for these lessons for the rest their lives. This is her personal experience of the author, that she believes, it is important to educate their children.







Personal code of morality




It was long ago recognized that talented people are talented in everything. Leyla Aliyeva is a great example. Her poems are beautiful and express the tenderness of her life. She is also an accomplished artist. Her paintings have been displayed in professional exhibitions, and are highly regarded by experts. As an artist, and as a person skilled in art, she assists young talented artists in reaching the world stage. Modern art from Azerbaijani is growing in popularity and so is carpet weaving and mugham from our country.



It's not an error to say that Heydar Aliyev Center has been an important center for the culture of our nation. There are concerts by international musicians, and also exhibitions of contemporary sculptors as well as exceptional artists. Leyla Aliyeva played an important role in this. Azerbaijanis were ableto, thanks to her efforts up to the point of seeing works by world art legends like Tony Cragg (Bernard Buffet), Richard Deacon (Richard Deacon), Andy Warhol, and George Condo. Leyla Aliyeva admitted that after viewing George Condo's works during the first five years, she wanted them to be displayed in Baku. In this regard I'm reminded the 70s to early 1980s The Azerbaijan State Philharmonic hosted classical concerts at the initiative of Heydar Aliyev (who was then the first secretary of Communist Party of Azerbaijan). It was an extremely educational undertaking of the legendary Heydar Aliyev. His granddaughter Leyla has graciously accepted the mission and will continue the mission in new conditions.



In one of her interviews, she mentioned that as soon as someone is born, the Almighty created a sense of right and wrong within him. He must adhere to these principles throughout his life by listening to his heart, his conscience and soul as well as his grandparents. Only in this way will he never make mistakes. It is her personal moral code.



Leyla Aliyeva is an example of how to live by the code and doesn't commit any mistakes.
