Description:
Co-op student will assist the Supervising Engineer and Project
Engineers in the technical review and processing of energy efficiency
applications and technical assistance studies. The engineering group
reviews project applications and engineering studies to verify energy
savings and determine potential incentives. This verification typically
includes some internal analysis of the project and some site
inspections. There are also many collateral responsibilities of the
engineering group which support the development of new programs,
initiatives and eligible technologies.
Students will be exposed to broad based energy efficiency/green
energy technology and programs.
Scope of Work/Project:
Co-op to support Energy Efficiency Engineering. Duties may include:
 Review of technical assessments to develop a database of
potential costs, savings, vendor accuracy, and project progress.
 Review and tracking of energy efficiency applications
 Process improvements to expand understanding of engineering
requirements outside of group
 Attend meetings of property owners, Engineers and Architect
firms
 Follow up on meeting action items
 Utilize Microsoft Project to create project planning schedules
Requirements:
 Knowledge of MS Office & MS Project.
 Student should be working towards a degree in Mechanical
Engineering.
